  • Heartwarder Relium or his replacement

This message is sent to Sestra with instructions to delivered it to Heartwarder Reliun or whoever is currently filling his position there.

    Heartward Reliun,

I was so terribly excited to hear of your presence in the valley. Though, I will admit I am a touch apprehensive that you will actually receive this letter. The woman I spoke to, her name is Alianna, perhaps you know her? She seems to be a charming woman, and quite lovely too though I suppose that does not really matter.

Unless of course it does matter, in which case I should certainly like to speak with you on the matter further. Do let me know, please. Well, the reason I am writing you is that Alianna said you had been stationed in Sestra. I think this is by the sea? Anyway, I should like to meet with you and discuss what happen to the Sunite temple at Aquor. Do you know where all the craftsmen and artist went? I should be ever so grateful if you were able to speak to me Heartwarder.

    Yours faithfully,
    Chime Mynick

The letter finds it's way to Sestra swiftly enough but wends its way to the keep within the town rather than directly to the man Reliun.

After shuffling it's way through a few piles of correspondence it is recovered by a man named Edmund Mode who, after a few sheets of practice, drafts a suitable response in a flowing, languorous script embellished with decorative whorls and serifs.

    Dearest Chime,

It gladdened my heart to receive your recent correspondence, may the tremors of your apprehension be stilled within your breast. I am saddened to say that I do not know this fine young lady Alianna of whome you write, but be assured that I shall endevour to make bother her acquaintance and yours. Perhaps if she is nearly half as charming and lovely as you say we can, together, endevour to brighten her life and those around her as if she were the bright shining queen atop a great pyre of joy and unfettled burning love.

Sestra is indeed by the sea, and quite the township we have here. The joyous songs of the citizens praising our glorious god each day fills my heart to bursting with devotion and admiration, I am quite sure you would benefit from attending one of our workshops. Nothing can open your eyes to the ways of the world like our clergy!

The Temple at Aquor is undergoing something of a transformation at the moment, those Aurillites were a frigid bunch and the temple itself suffered some damage. Just as soon as our clergy and engineers have finished dusting out the last of their heretical taint and put the final spit and polish on the new dedications I'm sure it'll be opened up ready for the townsfolk to be able to revel in the august majesty of our dear deity.

Alas, some of the craftsfolk and artisans fled for the city back when the cowardly dogs of the Legion lifted their skirts and fled, it might be possible that some of them survived the increadible hardships and terror the Legion sowed, it might also be possible for pigs to fly!

Fourtunately for us all many of them were sensible enough to hide themselves away in Aquor and many of those survived the Aurilite invasion! Those dear folk are now working night and day (some without sleep or barely eating! Such dedication!) to put the temple to it's right and proper use.

As I have your address I'll be sure to send you an invite to the grand opening, we'll treat you as a guest of honour!

    Sweetly yours,

*the letter is signed with a drawn heart*
The letter is then spritzed with a perfume and sent by runner back to Chime.

Another letter is sent to Sestra with instructions to be sent to Heartwarder Reliun

      Heartwarder Reliun,

I want to take a moment to apologize if I seemed a bit scattered when first I wrote. I fear I did so in haste and was not at all sure I would receive a reply. In fact, if you must know the absolute truth. I simply did not believe I would receive a reply at all. I have heard tell that there were vampires in Sestra and I had feared the worst. There are simply no words to express my pleasure upon receiving your message. It gladdens my heart more than you know to learn that there is indeed one of the faithful here in the valley.

And while I have not yet told her the news that you are indeed still within the valley, I just know that Miss Alianna will feel the same. Though I have spent just a small amount of time in conversation with her, it was enough to know that she is suffering from a deep and unrequited love. I had thought to speak with her further on the matter, but once I received your letter. It was like a sign from the Lady. I simply knew that this was a matter for an expert. And it goes without saying that I have every confidence that you will take her in your capable hands and sort everything out.

I know it is ever so bold of me to say Sir, but I cannot help but be charmed by your turn of phrase. You are indeed, quite correct when you say that the joyous songs of the people, praising our glorious Lady, fill the heart to bursting. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you have done. I also want you to know that I will keep well away from Aquor while it is being transformed. Such dedication simply must be respected. Though I should greatly love to see the wonders you have created when the temple is complete.

I take leave to tell you Sir, that your letter has filled me with renewed hope. This very night I will step into the still waters while the moon shines high. I will gaze into the mirror and think on how I can further the Ladies cause. I will not bother you any further Sir but I want you to know that I look forward to finally meeting you Sir. And hope and pray that I have not taken you from your duties to long. Until the day we meet, I shall continue my work and think of you often.

      Yours Faithfully,

      Chime Mynick
