Letter to Whurest

General Dryn,

We will be starting another major step soon in our quest for Aquor. The Blackwood will be combining the remaining of our forces at Mirakus Post. I've spoken with High Arcanist Sandro and we would like to start a council to make sure all involved are kept informed. After we settle at the Post we should start these meetings and begin plotting our next move. I welcome your wisdom and insight, General. Tempus guide us.

A scroll bearing dual crests of Whurest and Skullcleaver makes its way back to the Hellstrom estate,

Formation of such a council is wise and, in its execution, capable of providing a solid foundation of good faith atop which Whurest, Blackwood, and the Thayan enclave can pursue our mutual interests in the north.

I readily accept a seat on this council and await your further word. The Earthlord's blessings upon you and Blackwood as you make your journey to Mirakus.

Some of the Whurest's more personal dealings may have been made public. I will go into more detail when we get a chance to speak in person. Until then, I would suggest limiting or ceasing any communication you have with members of the Triad. Hopefully I can clear things up soon.

I would like you to know that all of Blackwood grieve with our dwarven brothers in arms. I'm am not that familiar with your rituals, but I would like to pay my proper respects when it's time to do so. Should you require anything, do not hesitate to ask.

Byrun's letter goes un-responded for longer than usual. Eventually however, one is given, sealed as usual in the twin sigils of both Whurest and its Skullcleavers:

Lord Hellstrom,

I hope this writing finds both you and those under your aegis in good health and spirit. I thank you for your kind offering of aid as well as sharing in our grief. It fortifies the heart to know we do not grieve alone.

Rituals of my kin, and especially those of clan, are intimate and private. However, after our rites have been performed and time afforded those within our hold to grieve, I see no harm in allowing you to pay the respects you bear.

Thank you for respecting the needs of of my kin during our time of mourning.

When you are willing and able, Whurest is now ready to receive you and allow you the respects you bear. Please inform me of when you intend to arrive, as I wish to attend your visit

I'm thankful to have finally heard from you. I've been worried about the current state of you and your kin after the Battle of Aquor. I will meet with you at my earliest convenience. I will be bringing with me the new Blackwood Conciliator, Miss Alice Selena, when I visit. We've much to discuss and I wish you well.
