  • A Letter for Lady Emiliana of house Blackwell

Delivered to her Legion subordinates by an in-person and slightly subdued Alandriel, this missive is addressed to her in noble fashion, printed with a fine hand on expensive paper.

    Lady Emiliana,

It is with the greatest and most sincere of joys that I wish blessings on your upcoming union with house Aurelianus! Your husband-to-be could barely contain his joy and excitement, and who could blame him? May Sune's gifts of beauty to your person and your artworks be mirrored in her gifts of love to your marriage.

If you or your fiancee should require the aid or counsel of a priestess of Siamorphe in any regard concerning the festivities to come or the duties to follow, please let me know. I may be reached at the Sundren Comfort.

Again, congratulations! May favor always find the houses of the true nobility.

    Signed, Alandriel Ward

P.S. I am so behind the times. Is your brother Darius still eligible? If so, he is not trying hard enough! Send him to me if you are having trouble arranging a suitable match, and I will see what I can do.

The arrival of the missive prompts a few rapid blinks and a puzzled expression from Emiliana. "Does she know the same man that I know?" she asks Anderson, her ever-present sentry and deliverer of messages. When the Legionnaire offers no response, Emiliana shrugs at him. "Bah."

She retrieves from her desk a piece of personal stationery bearing the blues, greens, and golds of House Blackwell's crest, and soon a reply is composed and sent to the Sundren Comfort Inn for "Madam Alandriel Ward."

    Madam Ward,

Thank you for your letter and your well-wishes. Your enthusiasm and kind words are deeply appreciated, and I am pleased to know that my fiancé highly speaks of our pending nuptials.

Your generous offer to provide counsel and aid will definitely be considered, although Lord Aurelianus and I have not yet planned many details. I will contact you should there be something with which you may assist.

With regards to my brother, you will be pleased to learn that the bonds between these two noble houses will be further strengthened when Lord Blackwell chooses a Lady Aurelianus to wed. Again, though, your offer to aid is gracious and appreciated.

I look forward to speaking with you again. Until then, please be safe in your travels.

    Cordially,

    Lady Emiliana Blackwell
    House Blackwell
