A pair of crisp folded parchments are delivered to the Sundren beurocrasy, each bearing an elaborate brass seal and blue-and-green borders. One is addressed to Myrios Blackwell at the Legion Barracks, the other to the Archmagus Swift at his abode within the Sinistrum. Any curious couriers would be briefly perplexed and thereafter encouraged to bear the missives to their recipients due to the Illusionary Script lain into the pages. With only slight differences borne by the intended reader, both are written much the same in identically exacting print:
"Myrios Blackwell,
I would like to speak with you and Archmagus Swift at your earliest convenience regarding a matter of protocol that I would prefer be considered and discussed privately. I have come to the realization that state funding for the field of arcanomechanical research and other high-risk investments are likely to be better spent on infrastructure and more initially beneficial undertakings. As such, it would interest me greatly to discuss and learn of the State's policies and procedure with regards to private contractors and their interfacing within the political entity. If you are willing to give it, I would be most gracious to hear both your insights and well-considered opinions into such matters.
