A Request to Julia Averson

Sergeant Averson,

I request your permission to take a squad of Blackwood mercenaries to enter the Mossdale area. Our mission is to disrupt the damn Orc's ability to make armor, weapons, and such. I figure we would strike at their smithy, killing anything that moves and destroying their anvils and tools.

As Julia comes across the letter, her brows knot and she lets out a brief, sharp sigh. After clearing some room on her desk, she takes a piece of parchment and charcoal stick and scribbles a reply.


McGillicutty,

There are three things.

First, who is the client, and what did the client offer? The Legion may be willing to execute such a mission paid with nothing but the pride of having done their duty, but the Company is not the Legion, and some of my boys will not participate until they are certain they will be paid for their task.

Second, I cannot spare many for the mission, even if it has been contracted. I would say about five or six at most, no more (and that number includes you).

Third, it is spelled "Arvison".
