  • Supervisor, Exigo Trade Grounds

    Dear Sir:

I'm writing with a proposal for a few upgrades that I believe will help bring in more traffic into the Trade Post. I am willing to fund these projects if need be, if I can be given a small amount of land. Any lease prices I am willing to have deducted from my Stipend as a a merchant for Exigo.

Although I provide wands as a merchant, my main job is entertainment. I know that the Exigo currently has no need for entertainers, but if I may, I believe that providing entertainment will help keep people in the Post longer. I have first hand experience in knowing that when people are entertained, they stay in one area longer and are more likely to browse. As a result, merchants around the area will see an increase in traffic, and profit, which is the main goal of Exigo.

Besides a small stage, perhaps either in the Trade House, or just outside the Trade House would provide a focal point, but not interfere with direct merchant activities.

I am also interested in setting up a few small shrines. For Waukeen and Sune, and perhaps any others that you might deem suitable. Since trade is our main goal, a small shrine to Waukeen would seem sensible, without being overly garish or pushy. Sunites, since the take over by hostile forces in Aquor, have no current Shrine or Temple to pay homage at. I would be willing to fully fund such a Shrine, as I am a follower of Lady Firehair. I believe it will bring in higher end clientele as well. With more coin, comes more profit. And an air of better quality goods than your competitors may have.

If you have any further questions about my proposals, I would be happy to hear back.

    Thank you for your time.
Love and Beauty be with you.

    Magical melodies

    Dear sir:

I understand you are likely busy but if I may suggest one other addition. A music and art supply shop. Further to my previous comments about nobility, they often appreciate, purchase and regularly use these supplies even if they are only amateurs they appreciate that fine materials give them an edge. If need be for any of these proposals I will try to raise the funds myself.

    Yours with Love and Beauty

      Dear Sir:

Please tell me if these missives get annoying, I would not want to presume.

Further to my thoughts of bringing in a steadier flow of elite purchasers, if the Stage (or Amphitheater) were to also hold regular artistic auctions it would increase foot traffic on regular days. This would enable merchants to regularly put out higher qualities goods without having to worry about continuous stock at all times for these goods. Fairs could also be set up to provide this regularity.

I would like to request the use of some space, and a temporary stage to help with a feasibility study for you to see the benefits of these ideas. I would like to hold a Bardic Competition. I will put up the purse of 2000 staggs myself to draw those that wish to compete. A certain level of performer will be needed and I will ensure that we get quality artists, so as not to besmirch or belittle the quality (although, if some children wish to enter, I will have a separate class for them).

      Yours in Love and Beauty,
      Bree

        Dear Sir:

Pardon me once again. The idea of an Inn has sprung up as well. This could encompass numerous of the other ideas as well. Somewhere where a small Theatre could be situated, away from the merchant row proper, as well as a place where people can rest. This makes sense as the Post is currently the middle of the Valley. We could make the Post a Hub for the spokes of the commerce that flows through Sundren. Those in need of rest needn't stop at the Second Wind (although a fine Inn in itself it is a part day stop instead of a full day stop between most of the major entries into the Valley). It only makes sense that we try to bring more flow and stopage of goods and people to increase profits.

I again, await a reply for any of these ideas.

        Yours in Love and Beauty,
        Bree
