  • A note to the Legionaire in charge at the Gate of the Sunderer

A very well written and formalized note is delivered:

    Dear Sir or Madam,

I, Marcarius Aurelianus of House Aurelianus, do hereby request a pass to enter the City of Sundren. I realize you have many other concerns and may not be able to grant my request in a timely fashion. I shall acquire a room at the Four Lanterns Inn under the name of 'Marc' and lend whatever aid I can to the refugees filling the streets here in the meantime. Please contact me at your earliest convenience.

    Sincerely,
    Marcarius Aurelianus

A reply is eventually returned to the writer.
    ----------------------------------------------------------

    Dear Lord Aurelianus,

I regret that it has taken so long to respond to your letter; as one can imagine, the Legion has been overwhelmed with many requests and other pressing matters following the unprecedented events of recent days.

I am pleased to inform you that a new pass system has been implemented, and the Legion hopes to have all citizens registered and documented as soon as possible. Passes for you and your most noble family will likely be granted once preparations are complete.

In the meantime, the Legion extends its gratitude towards you for your aid with the people displaced from their homes. It is our hope that all who seek safety will soon have it.

    Respectfully,

    Centurio Emiliana Blackwell
    Fourth Legion
