Warm greetings and well wishes to you and yours in these troubled times. As I?m sure you are aware, Sundren City and her surrounding lands have seen a greater influx in hostilities. With the spread of Banite influence, Mossclaw agitation, bandit assaults and drow ambushes, security measures have surely been reinforced as best they can be, and for that, I and many others who visit your fair town are grateful. We know that keeping vigilant of these concerns is of high importance and gives us purchase in a slide of overwhelming obstacles; therefore, I wish to inform you of the ever-increasing threat that lies just below beautiful Aquor.
The caverns beneath the town are home to not only a variety of monstrous insects, whose numbers swell daily, but also to many denizens that pose a larger threat to your people. Along with a surge of raiding drow parties, the tunnels have seen a number of elementals, mysterious gases, and just the other day another startling addition, an illithid. Whether or not more mindflayers are about is unknown, but caution must be stressed and security tightened around the cave entrance in Aquor. Perhaps additional guards could be stationed there until the matter is fully investigated so as to form a frontline of defense for the people of the town. I know your forces are stretched tightly as is, but I implore you to fortify your defenses concerning this area immediately for we cannot be certain what plans lie in wait.
