A letter is delivered, securely fastened with an embellished sigil of red wax, to the steward's desk late that evening. Much time and energy seems to have been placed into the script, brushed with fresh ink upon recently pressed parchment, and it has been folded ever-so-neatly.
Sir or Madam, whom it may concern;
This is not a letter proposing assistance in the drow plight. It is an advisement expressing concern. Unfortunately, it seems that the recent uproar of those willing to help the authority of Sundren has sparked some hostilities. Several patrons that are devoted to the cause have become increasingly violent to those that are either neutral in opinion, or those that do not wish to aid the department, myself included. Most of said individuals are elves raised in societies that do not condone drow presence in the least, and their hatred runs strong for their dark brethren and those that tolerate them.
Even some drow that are completely absolved of the wrongdoings occurred by Houses within the underdark are being oppressed and ridiculed almost to the point of violence and mayhem. Certainly, this will not do. I simply would like this to be brought to the attention of authorities in charge of this operation, for it is questionable whether or not those joining their cause will be willing to follow orders when the destruction of underdark residents is closely at hand. Please take heed in my words. Many innocents are being persecuted and their lives are potentially at risk.
Should you need to contact me, submit any materials to the Viridale Forest border settlement. I will be glad to give any information regarding this subject as soon as possible, and I am willing to meet authority in person if it is deemed necessary.
