  • A Letter to the Thanyan Enclave in Aquor

A letter in bold handwriting is received at the Thayan enclave:

I have been instructed by both Salarius Emiliana Blackwell of the Sundarian Legion and Sergeant Knoll of the Blackwood Company to inform you of troubling events in the Spine. I, along with Blackwell and a third party, climbed the Spine recently only to encounter hordes of undead under the command of Dark Advent necromancers. Farther up the mountin, we eventually encountered some . . . thing performing some sort of ritual slaying of Dark Advent necromancers. We attempted to engage the thing, but it escaped to a refuge in the mountains.

It is true that the Dark Advent is believed to be non-existant, but these events have proven otherwise. If you require more proof than this letter, please contact the Legion as they recovered a number of the corpses for further investigation. In the mean time, it is recommended that the Enclave increase its readyness. If the Dark Advent is using the Spine as a base of operations, then it is likely that Aquor will be their first target.

    Dear Grunt...

We have inquired the military faction as stated, and found that the corpses held no identifying marks of the Dark Advant more than their robes. As well none of them seemed to be over the apparent age of nineteen. With all present evidence along with examination of the bones of the undead as you have stated, we have concluded that this was a group of young adults, disguised at the defunct Dark Advant, whom have started to dabble in necromancy. Their presence in the spine can only be concluded as either an attempt to gain favor with a stronger faction or to snatch up some of the undead present to bolster their ranks.

We are grateful for your timely response to this matter as well as to the fact you chose to send this information to us. We look forward to future dealings.
