A Letter to the Exarch of Sestra

Sir,
A representative of the Mossdale Forgotten Mercenary Company has spoken to me and we have instituted measures to combat the demon presence in Sestra.

He has made additional requests which I am reluctant to grant without your authorization. He has asked that, as I understand it, regular and comprehensive house searches be instituted and that all citizens be required to register with the Company. I feel these are beyond my authority as Corps Directeur to grant.

If left to me, I would be reluctant to institute these extreme measures without better intelligence regarding the demon threat and the ability of the mercenaries to act against them. Nevertheless, the decision is yours, sir. Please inform me as soon as possible.

A letter arrives the next morning at the Corps De Grace headquarters with the Exarch's seal.

The mercenary company is acting on behalf of our town and is filling the ranks to allow more flexibility to the Sundren legion in combating the threat of the Bloodmaim. The threat of the cultists has not yet reached an apex necessary to instill fear in the hearts of the citizens, though such measures may be required at a later date. For now I want the dissidents responcible for summoning such creatures in my town found to be held at trial for their crimes. I'm relying on you and the militia to be my eyes and ears and to ensure the people of this town are safe. If you feel further reinforcements may be necessary beyond the mercenaries offering help, contact me immediately, and I will make the appropriate connections.
