  • A message for Dain Tornbrook

The man, obviously recently battered, walked into the Triumverate temple. His breastplate had been recently polished to a high sheen but the mostly red, wet bandage wrapped around his head and bloodstains showing on the collar of his tunic caused looks of concern on the faces of those who saw him enter.

The first priest to see him rushed to his aid, "May I help you son."

The man looked a bit dazed, "Who me? No, no I just need to see Dain Tornbrook. They sent me to deliver a message," the man rushed through the words, "He, I mean we, yes we are all in danger."

"Fine, fine", the priest replied calmly, "We are always in danger but all things in due time. First you must sit."

The priest motioned to those around him to disperse and as he finished a prayer to the Broken One the man began to look slightly less confused and began to breath easier. "Now tell me what happened. Sir Tornbrook is not here but I will relay your words or if you can write you can leave a message that I will deliver as soon as he returns."

"A message, yes that will do.", the man replied with a sense of relief.

    The message

    Sir Tornbrook,

My name is Ryland Pedant a novice of Helm. We met briefly on two occasions and it is with great regret and concern that I leave you this message. In my travels on the road from the gate heading to the Second Wind Inn I was confronted by what I believe was a servant of Bane. To my shame, through some dark work, the man was able to paralyze me and forcefully told me to deliver a message to you. His words to the best of my memory were that you are being watched by the Dead Three and that your family and those that serve the Triumvarte are all in peril. None are safe because they will find you and those that serve with you.

Helm forgive me if I have left out any details. I am afraid the man struck me hard in the back of the head and some of the details have grown difficult to remember.

I know this attack was meant as a threat and I in no way wish to be a tool of darkness but after weighing my options I thought it would be a greater sin not to convey the message to you.

    Vigilantly yours,
    Ryland Pedant
    Ashard Velmont - Gentleman scoundrel
Ryland Padant - A dedicated soul
