A dark-haired woman in blue and silver armor, seeming terribly pleased with something or other, drops a letter off. It is sealed with a shield-and-hound emblem, as well as the imprint of a chalice.
To the Temple of the Triumvirate,
A disturbing report reached my ears, from the account of one Sesquiplicarius Chang Fennes of the Legion. He encountered in the Veritas stronghold several who claimed to be followers of Ilmater, and who had been dispatched to aid the injured and dying soldiers in the ongoing conflict with the Legion. According to his account -- which I may misremember, and invite you to talk to him yourself -- these priests were displeased with his efforts to curb Veritas aggression, comparing him, a loyal soldier of the Legion, to those of the Black Hand.
I write to you with several related questions, which I thought to ask of you before forming any hasty judgments:
1. Do you have knowledge of these priests or followers, and their mission?
2. Are they members of the Triumvirate, proper?
3. Are they likely to genuinely be followers of Ilmater?
4. Taking all this into account, what is the stand of the Temple on the Veritas and their allies?
If the claims of these followers was genuine, I implore you to make it public knowledge that your priests are soothing the hurts of the Veritas. There are many, such as myself, who are trying to keep the land safe from further acts of terrorism but would hesitate to attack any of the Crying God's faithful, or disrupt their mission. On the other hand, if they are misusing the name of the temple and Ilmater to win concessions, I will be all the more eager to strike them down.
I wish you wisdom in decision, and await your reply.
Noblesse oblige;
Alandriel Ward, servant of the Divine Right
