  • Sticks carved within Druid Cant...

These sticks are showing up all around, mostly stuck in the middle of the path, though some at campfires. They make excellent kindling.

"Fellow Druids of the Circle of Silvanus,

I have wandered far but cannot find your grove. Leave word for me in similar fashion at the withered tree in Viridal Forest. My abode is the paths but I pass there on my travels. I would speak with the circle to know their will in this land and how I might aid the works of Silvanus, Meilikki and Gwaeron here.

*During her usual roaming, Rosalyn comes across a stick which is obviously out of place. Upon examining it, she recognizes the Druidic markings.*

Ah, Zeb. Your guess is as good as mine. Perhaps you will have luck finding what I have not.

*She continues her explorations, leaving the stick for others to come across. After pondering a moment, she snatches up a nearby stick and marks out a message of her own.*

    To Zeb,

If you should come across any information regarding the location of a grove, please leave word for me in this same spot. I, too, have searched to no avail. I do hope we can meet soon, as I have begun to feel rather useless so far away from my home-grove.

*She hurries off to Viridale to find the designated tree*

      Sticks are found

      "Rosalyn Leaf Fall,

I am heartened to learn others pledge themselves to the wilds. The mysteries of the great wilds are not fully explicable to myself, a simple follower of Gwaeron...I will continue to walk and guard the paths and hope to meet you in my travels, that we might join our forces to seek out the grove of the mighty Silvanus and Meilikki,

      Good Paths

      Zeb"

A Hawk swoops majestically down through the tree-tops and comes to rest upon the wrist of an elderly man dressed in rough leather.

The man speaks to the Hawk - it tells him of the escalating danger in the forests and hills.

That evening he enters the grove and takes his place in the circle, examining the Soul to see if there is any sign of the grove's shroud being disrupted.

The others greet him - it is clear they are as equally concerned, and yes, they also see a slight weakening in the Soul.

"We must strengthen the Circle," he declares. The others mutter amongst themselves, but finally they turn as one and nod.

"We will bring others to the Circle then," the man confirms. "Begin placing the signs, let the dwellers of the woods carry the invitation. Those who listen will come."

The man walks back along the dirt track and fades into the trees.

*On his most recent rounds of the forest searching for the elusive Circle of Sylvanus, Dain comes across the druid markers. He recognizes the makers from past dealings with druids but has no idea what they actually say.*
"Hrumph... first encouraging sign I've seen. I hope they reveal themselves before it's too late for this noble wood and the earth under her roots..."

*An over excited OneEar comes back from his evening hunt*
Zeb looked up from his campfire and puffed on his pipe, eyeing the wolf, "What is it lad? Yer prancin' like a yearling cub!"
*OneEar runs off into the woodlands, howling*
"Follow? Oi! Slow down yer mangy old cur! Me old shanks won't..ahh blast yer!"
*Zeb sits back and puff on his pipe, deciding he'll keep and eye out for sign of old OneEar's hunting runs to find out where he keeps disappearing to these days!*
