A runner from Aquor brings the following letter to the Sundarian Outriders barracks.
Greetings, Captain Esta.
Elves had suffered from the predations from certain individuals of dark intent, but with the ongoing friction between the People and the Sundarians, I am loathe to extract retribution myself.
I have often believed that the laws of the humans often benefitted only their own interests and that of the people - which is why I typically take draconian measures to fight back against proven enemies of the elves. However, with the recent ban on the drow elves and the bounties being given out... my faith is restored sufficiently enough for me to trust that you may be able to intercede and mete out punishment in our stead and avoid further problems.
The man known as Nocte Tempore has twice struck out and killed elves before. Once he threatened the life of one of my elven companions, the bladesinger Corwin, and paid for it with his life. However, sympathizers whom believed my retribution was too harsh restored him to life and I allowed with with the hopes that he would use his second chance at life in a fruitful manner. Alas, my hopes were apparently naive: he has murdered again; a well-liked elven wizard named Garion Redwind this time around.
Garion was raised, but I will stand for the fiendling's actions no longer - enough have suffered. Nocte wields the powers of a warlock and is rumored to have tie ins with the other warlock murderer whom prowled the forest not so long ago. I believe this is more than enough incentive to take measures against it.
Can something be done, like setting up a bounty and taking preventive measures against tieflings, warlocks and their ilk instead of just passively let them walk around in your cities? I would greatly appreciate your assistance in this matter.
Signed,
~ Maia Nanethiel
