  • Report to Immunes Torgar Stoutleaf

    Dear Mister Torgar,

My sister and I were sitting at the camp fire at the Second Wind Inn. The hin with the large axe known as Xaayne was being very hostile to us with his words. He accused my sister and I of being demons. He was pacing around, holding his weapon. He did not like the fact that I was whispering with the man by the name of Grann, and did something magical to roar very loudly and cause damage to myself and a couple of others.

He then proceeded to call my sister and I demons once more, and threatened us with violence. When we tried to defend ourselves, he flew into a rage. I cast a spell to hide myself and my sister, and ran so he could not hear me. A good friend of mine, Darius and my brother, Samuel came to our defense. But the hin killed them with one hit of his axe.

I then attempted to use a spell of mine, hold person, to stop him from his killing spree. The spell failed, and my invisibility faded, revealing myself to him. He took one look at me, and charged right towards me, a look of death in his eyes. I ran for my life, and as I ran I felt the blade slice into my back, nearly killing me. I was thankfully a tad bit faster than him, and I was able to flee to safety.

This is my report on the matter, and I thank you kindly for looking into matters. My sister and I both have our papers allowing us passage in Sundren because we are tieflings.

    Sadie.

Testimony - Sundren vs. Xaayne Zek

To whom it may concern within the Sundren Legion

I Liem Ashcroft, as a member of Exigo and concerned citizen do hereby submit this testimony to account for the actions as dictated by one Xaayne Zek when confronted in regard to an assault and subsequent murder of two citizens of Sundren.

Three known witnesses to the exchange are Sita and Sadie two twin sisters who happen to be Tieflings acknowledged as citizens under the Anderson Act, as well as another identified witness being Grann Fearnimane.

It is unfortunate that I do not know the names of the victims of this attack as their families will need to be properly informed of these happenings and a proper burial be held in accordance with their religious practice. The man in question on e Xaayne Zek, while a member of the Blackwood Company, acted outside of the companies defense contracts and legal restraint making his actions no reflection of the views and beliefs of either Blackwood or Exigo in this event.

When the murderous charge was brought to my attention, I happened to be in the company of Mr. Zek and inquired of him his perspective, at which time he admitted to having assaulted the band, as they were in his perspective evil based on the fact that they had horns and tails as is a common trait of Tieflings. This raises the question of whether or not the Half-Orc populace of Sundren is in line for a similar fate based on this Halfling’s analysis. Further questioning as to regret indicated there was none, and advice that he deliver himself to the Legion for questioning was refused. Further addition that it would take more than a legion to stop him. As well as presenting admission of guilt to such heinous crimes and the willingness to take an aggressive stance against the laws of Sundren itself leaves that no citizen can truly feel safe so long as we remain under the unchecked whim of this barbaric and heavily armed Halfling.

Questioning of all parties has resulted in a collaborated account that this Xaayne Zek did indeed attack the party of citizens, slaying two of their number in cold blooded murder and wounding at least one of the twins in his rampage. The psychological stability of this man should be held in the finest scrutiny during further investigation for the safety of those officers involved. I believe he should be considered a dangerous murderer and I for one will hold all dealings with him as such and to limit said dealings to public areas which multiple witnesses should he turn on the rest of us as well. He has been known to frequent the Second Wind Inn which sees the passing of many travelers both foreign and domestic the allowance of one, whom by popular recollection has had hand in other activities of gross aggression may prove to further endanger those citizens who are unwittingly placed in danger by proximity to this man.

      To Immunes Torgar Stoutleaf,

Prior to joining the legion I had witnessed on at least two separate occasions people with valid papers being threatened by the Hin known as Xaayne. He threatened violence against the tieflings twins Sita, and Sadi, and against a half orc, known as Thud. At the time I had not thought his behaviour more than simple prejudice and did not record details of other witnesses to his threats.

      Tirones Jacia Kiln.
