Gentlemen,
After inquiry with the Legion of Sundren I have gained a preliminary understanding of the lacking reports of shipments sent to Sundren recently. There are reports of assaults on the caravans of lethal intent. This does not appear to be due to banditry as by in large, they have not been removing the trade goods. Given the limited overland trade to Sundren in my opinion, this appears to be an act of preliminary siege actions limiting availability of resources. I advise should overland trading be continued the utilization of armed escorts. In regard to Ports and shipping lanes, should this prove to be sabotage with military intent, it may be wise to arm the merchant vessels.
Given that this continues to be an ongoing investigation headed by the Sundarian Legion further negotiations of fault and recompense for financial loss in this event will be differed through their agents. Further investigations may be needed should this be another aggression against Exigo as they have international representation which may prove a concern to all those countries in which they operate.
In conclusion of this assignment, I formally submit my resignation in accordance with my contractual assignment to identify the reason for failed communications from those traders. I will remain available for private assignments while in Sundren where I will take up my trade as a weapon smith working with Exigo within their interests here.
Respectfuly,
Liem Ashcroft
