An eloquently hand-written letter is left with the staff of Sundren City's jail in the Entertainment District, addressed specifically to Peridan Twilight of the Legion. The letter is sealed with the absence of the Enclave's insignia, though is enchanted with an illusory script that jumbles the words in the event that anyone but the intended viewer should read them.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Concerning Legionnaire Peridan,
I, Pyras Demathos, address this letter to you on the behalf of my client, one
Adeodadus Exitium whom you have taken into custody. As the defense attorney
to the aforementioned detainee, I compel you, as the arresting officer, to either
submit to the disclosure of evidence or refer me to the state's attorney. Be it
from you or he, I will be expecting all interrogatories, documents and depositions
before a trial is even considered sound or just.
Should the rights of Adeodadus fail to be respected and maintained, know
that retributive, legal action will come swiftly against the violators.
Obstruction of Justice, under Sundren law, will not be withheld against
those who jeopardize my client's rights and the proper proceedings he is
owed. Moreover, should your personal biases against my client lead to undue slander,
or should you convey falsely the evidence during it's disclosure, you will be subjected
to charges of False Pretenses and Deception under Sundren law.
As a Thayan, I've been introduced first-hand to the prejudice
made apparent by those such as yourself. Know that I will not abide such
transgressions being imparted unto my client. These charges represent
misguided hate toward your prisoner and his lawfully sanctioned faith, and I am
nothing if not morally obligated to defend Adeodadus from this intolerance.
I expect my requests to be met a full thirty days prior to a set trial date.
