  • The Triumvirate: Tormish section.

Luke Steel goes about his day to day activities as a devout follower of the god he has so steadfastly followed since childhood, the righteous and just god, Torm. Most of his day is spent training with the longsword and also the greatsword. The rest is spent studying in the local library of Sundren or seeking information on any corruption that may be taking place across the land.

However, at the end of the day, Luke has only one thing on his mind: Proving to those around him that he is worthy of a position as a Loyal Warrior and Paladin of Torm. On this night he has decided to deliver a message to Balthasar, an elite and well known individual among the Tormish Church.

    Sir Balthasar,

Throughout my life I have devoted myself to an unwavering dedication to Torm and his dogma. I have endeavored to maintain law and order to the best of my abilities. I have fought Bane and the evil that encompasses his tyranic shroud of evil. And now I seek to render my services further by joining the warriors among the clergy. I wish to become a Loyal Warrior and a Paladin of Torm within your ranks. I am asking you now for acceptance among the ranks.

The letter is received shortly after it's dispatched, an unusual blessing in the otherwise chaotic Realms. A reply is formulated and dispatched, likely to be delivered by hand within the next ride.

Luke would find a young courier delivering a message sealed with wax bearing the insignia of Torm to him today after the boy put some effort into locating him. The message reads:

      'Sir Steel,

Your honorable actions are undoubted and though my local duties often prevent me with interacting with individuals on a case by case basis, I would be very interested in speaking with you personally. You are, if you truly follow Torm as a paladin or champion of his faith, freely granted place in his church. Yet words on parchment will not allow me to judge your character as fully as I would like. Within two or three days you should come to the church and speak with me man to man.

      - Sir Balthasar of Torm'
