  • An actual Legion report by Osclow

*in a move that would likely shock many of his fellows and co-workers in the Legion, the bard Osclow Wiltenholm finishes what might be his first ACTUAL report for the Sundarian Legion. The special notes reads as follows:*

The Bloodmaim were working on some kind of strange new project that involved sacrificing many of their own in order to create unique orcs even stronger than their more typical ranks. These orcs stood nearly ten feet in height and had pitch black skin, glowing eyes, and jaws that looked as though they could bite a man's head clean off. A first assault was made by Kharhaz, as can likely be found in his own reports. He was injured and the Hands wizard Mizrahi captured. In an attempt to fool the Bloodmaim, Legionaire Peridan came up with a plan to have Kharhaz's men act as though they were readying combat drills while he lead a strike team composed of him, myself, Thayan Knight Commander Lauan Tissle, and three other volunteers. On Peridan's signal, Kharhaz's men broke from their training formation and actually attacked the Bloodmaim. His strategy worked remarkably well and even though the Bloodmaim were armed with a dozen of these strange 'super-orcs', we managed to cut our way to the temple of Shargas. Within awaited a creature that looked almost like a combination of the mutated orcs and a demon. He stood twice as tall and three times in size of the others however. Mizrahi had managed to erect a barrier to keep the beast out, but in his wounded state could not attack the creatre. Luckily, that's where we came in. The creature seemed to mention something along the lines of still having a brother to deal with. It is also worth noting that the creature recognized Commander Lauan, claiming she 'owed' him something. The creature is still dead, but I suggest a focused eye be kept upon the Red Wizards if what this beast said is true. Also, be warned if what he said about a brother is also true, there may be one more out there.

*in another note assigned to Captain Greenwich specifically*

Sir, I meant for this to reach your eyes alone. In addition to report 00252, I feel there is something else you must know. The reason for Kharhaz's first defeat was due to a traitor amongst his ranks. The training drill ruse strategy was designed for this particular reason to make it so even the traitor would not have time to warn the Bloodmaim. Kharhaz is investigating this matter, as am I. I shall be certain to keep you updated.

Peridan happens to read the official report alongside several other shocked legionaires, and asks Jones curtly to revise the report to include Oslcow's name instead of his in the portions relating to the plan to fool the Bloodmaim.
    Characters:
Peridan Twilight, one-eyed dog of the Legion, deceased.
Daniel Nobody, adventurer and part time problem solver.

    [DM] Poltergeist :
If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge an intermediate deity's unbridled fury.
