A Serpentine Assault

Word from frantic Exigo miners was sent to the legion about a large force of Naga and Slitherscale lizardmen emerging from the Viridale. The legion was forced to divide their forces as the snake creatures launched a second assault on the outlying town of Sestra. Aided by freelance mercenaries, the the legion concentrated on the threat closest to the city and pushed the invaders back to a series of hot humid caves deep in the forest.

Crystals, similar to those found recently in caves near Sestra, were discovered and destroyed by the mercenaries causing the caves to cool to a natural temperature. A long network of tunnels lead from the caves to the north in the direction of Sestra. The Legion collapsed and sealed the tunnels with magic for the good of the city.

After her return to the garrison at the Viridale Border, Samantha tries to comfort the dying and their comrads by singing songs of joy and hope, or just by talking to them to ease their pain and help them to be strong in their faith.
As the day nears it's end, she can be seen sprinkling wyrmsage powder over the bodies of the dead.

In the confusion of tending to the wounded and sending them to face the legions of the Kin in the Viridale once more, a slender, tall shape quietly pulls up her hood again and slips away.

They failed to recognize me as kin in the cold of battle. That's why they struck me down. It has to be.

Thinking troubled thoughts, she meanders towards Sestra, and away from the fighting.

The fight was hard, while all the Legion and mercenaries fell in the battlefield, she was invisible gathering her friends and mercenaries bodies to further healing.
