  • The Hand Clenches

Three dwarves and a human, clad in bright blue armor, were saved from the grips of death in the caves of the Viridale. Their lives were restored by the Temple of Helm.

What originally looked to be a simple ogre rebuttal turned out to be much more menacing. The dwarves, when their helms removed, were beardless. Their faces were patchy, tufts of hair torn out in places and cut off in others. Placed in each of their bags was a holy symbol of Bane.

The knights who brought the bodies in claim the fallen were Skull Cleavers.

Kilinar was busy in the temple writing in his ledger when one of the clerics of the temple helm came in search of him. Upon hearing the news he quickly slammed his book as set off to see how his kinsman were recovering. A scowl clearly evident on his normally placid face.

Walking through Exigo trading post Gorgrim notices the subdued mumblings of random passerby's, "What in the 'ells are they lookin at me fer....what'd I do?" He overhears some some side conversations of some merchants and his grip on his many-notched waraxe grows frightenly tight. The words that send him headlong towards the city of Sundren....simply: Fallen Skullcleavers.

Upon making his way upon the city he storms up to the Four Lanterns and throws the door open with unhinged anger....which in-turn almost unhinges the large oak door. He strolls up to the half Circle table where he has held council many times with his kin and slams his axe upon the table and bellows out for all the ale he can drink so he can plan his permanent solution for whoever or whatever has caused his kin these sorrows.

"I'm gonna bathe in the blood of everything that stands in me way, and I'll take their 'eads and mount 'em above me doorway so's everyone knows that makin tha mistake 'o messin with the cleavers is the last mistake ye'll make!"
