  • An elf with a smith hammer

An elf with an eyepatch walks into Braxis Sirron's store on the Trade Tier within the city. He has an easy gait, and a quick smile to anyone he meets, his gold skin reflected in the fires of the forge. He has a smithing hammer in his hand, which he attaches to his belt when he walks inside. He stands in front of Braxis and bows.

"My name is Peridan, good dwarf. I wish to learn more of dwarven crafting, and to be your apprentice. I will sit outside your store until I hear your, ah, favorable reply."

He winks and heads back out, where he plops himself down on the ground directly in front of the store. He leans back against the wall with a grass thistle in his mouth, and waits.

The elf continues to sit outside the smithy, humming to himself out of tune. The night was rainy, and so he cast a minor cantrip to keep it off.

"I wonder how long he's going to make me wait here." He wonders out loud.

A man wearing long red and black hooded robe and two katana's at his belt walks by Persidan as he hammers away. He pulls back his hood showing his elven face and in elven says "Good luck with that hammer."

He scratches his head as the random elf keeps walking.

        "Who the hell was that?"

He shrugs and leans back, still waiting.

Peridan walks on by Braxis' forge, a huge stack of books in his hands as he teeters towards the gate. He stops for a moment and sets the books down, brushing his hands off. He sets his feet apart in a wide stance and his gold eye narrows as he stares down the door to the forge.

He sticks out his tongue and flips the door a rude gesture before picking up his books again and heading off.

"Forget you, I found real smiths to teach me. Go suck a red-hot iron."

He heads off, whistling happily out of tune.
