Melchior hesitates before accepting the book, quickly flipping it open and scanning over the diagrams. As he continued to read and turn the pages, the light dimmed from his crystal-blue eyes and his frown-line became prominent as he pushed his lips together.
"Lady Cybil," he speaks with painful regret, "If what these pages hold are true then they are already dead."
