Brought up with knowledge and understanding as a rule the Marshes and especially the Silverymoon were ideal for this. The city was a mix of classes, races, and religions...Almost anything might be found in the city or it's suburbs.
A wealth of knowledge was collected at the great library hall . And Valldur's mother, Diania a great sorce of information on the subjects of magics and arcane lore of many types. He entered manhood much more a student of books than of the fight!
Valldur's interest had led him to attend classes at the temple of Mystra where knowledge ruled the world. As is the custom, now that he become a man , Valldur is asked by his mentor's to travel afar and seek out wisdom of his own. To adventure in the name of learning is his task . A small sum of coin and some little equipment was given to him along with a letter of reconmendation should he happen upon other's of the Mystra'an fold.
As he has completed his formal training as a cleric he will partake in this adventure and upon return be inducted as a priest of the Mother's Temple if his fellow's agree that he has performed these actions to his best ability.
Valldur has chosen to make the city of Sundren his first stop in this journey...and if promising, will remain for some indefinite time to study the land , it's culture and magics and bring them back to further the base of knowledge of his temple. Valldur remains opptimistic and excited to begen his quest!
