((This is a player ran event that Me and a few victims are Participating))

Kerrigan plotted her next plan to ruin the fate of the illmater-bowers
She would use her gift of the mistress to spreed an affliction she has held for years, a carrier of Consumption she was.

This blessing was slow to take effect so she decided to "Enhance" The speed in which it rotted ones lungs, she also had to figure out a newer deliver method. "Contact of ones blood to anothers skin" She though, that night she prayed to her mistress for the powers needed. As the sun raised she stood and set out to the forest to look for her victims.

The Sick Priestess, of Talona, or Ilmater?

Cybil stood there, telling the foul little priestess of Talona everything that was wrong with what she had done. Kerrigan didn't listen of course. Then she coughed in her hand, leaving blood and mucous all over it. She smiled and evil grin.

    "
A blessing from my mistress" Kerrigan stepped forward and slapped Cybil as Cybil pushed her away with revulsion.

    "
This will easily be undone Kerrigan" As she wiped the blood off her cheek Cybil was repulsed even more by Kerrigan.

    "
I don't think so" Kerrigans evil grin did nothing to Cybils mood at all.

She turned to her companion, Nott. "
    Lets get out of here".

      The cough, and fever

Having been away for only a matter of a few days from her encounter, at night, just before bed, talking with a dear friend with problems of his own, Cybil has two coughing fits, each one producing blood. She quickly burns the rags she used to cough in.

"That Bitch! She infected me!" Only one thing remained now. To find Kerrigan, and get the cure from her. Normal magic was not enough obviously because Ambrose had cast a spell prophylacticly on her. The only cure could come from the Talnonite. Normally consumption can take years to incubate and show itself. This took mere days, and was even more pervasive because of her lower stamina.

She gave the description to her companion, who would start his search as soon as he was able.

Having come upon the scene hours too late to be aware of the urgency of haste, the old man sits down by the fire and greets his friends calmly. A gentle cough from Cybil and her paler complexion alert the old man to something amiss (heal check IC: 30).

With an alacrity not found in the elderly, the old man quickly jumps to her aid and begins assessing her condition.

Fever- cold, clammy. Wheezing, nausea, weakness, a strange odor, terrible hallitosis, all the signs of the disease Tuberculosis, but there was something different. This was advanced. It takes years to reach such a stage.

"Who did this to you, child?!"

A single reply from Cybil "Kerrigan"

With a deep sigh and a look of urgency to Nott and Vaticus "Find her, and fast. If we don't get her to help this woman she'll be dead within a month." Using some herbs from his healer's kit and a few prayers he stems off the sickness for the time being, slowing its progress.

"Dear child, why didn't you tell me?"

After searching for his ward for many hours, Brother McMannis discovers her to be in the very place he usually is, the Exigo camp. After checking her health, he decides to escort her back to the Triumvirate hospital where she should have been anyways. With the help of the elf Etria, they walk her the distance to the city and onto an available bed where a few ideas are passed and the old man can finally begin is research.

After a scant few hours and reading what he thought to be an old tome, the idea strikes him like a hammer to an anvil. Rushing out to meet his patient he exclaims his good fortune.

"Found it! Right here in this book!" Holding up a hand with no book confuses himself and the two women he's standing in front of. "well, I had a book..." he looks quickly behind himself as if he'd dropped it in his rush.

"No matter, I've found a way to reverse this process, but it'll take the help of quite a number of people to pull it off. We'll need the bonemeal of a giant. Any giant, an ogre will do, but I'd prefer it be a powerful one. The cheif if possible. After that, we need powdered silver. The alchemy kind. Then the blood of the afflictor.... Kerrigan's. Only a scant amount, a few drops at most. Mixed together with Ilmatari holy water and you've got yourself a fine fine cure. I'll get to work on this, you stay here and you stay with her. I don't want the girl running off on me again."

A moment later and he's out the door, with a haste unseen on a human of his age.

On one of his many trips to the Triumvirate, Ru'umel spots Cybil speaking with an unfamiliar man.

            "Hello Cybil and .... friend"

"I am not your friend." the man replies. "I am not her friend either"

After the unusual greeting Ru'umel discovers Cybil is infected and immediately becomes concerned and angry towards this unknown man, assuming his involvement in the infecting of Ru's dear friend Cybil.

Cybil quickly informs Ru'umel that this man was not who infected her, it was a Talonian Priestess named Kerrigan. Ru's anger immediately is transferred to her.

Cybil and the man, who appears to be a monk of some sort by his dress, give Ru more details of Cybil's condition and what is needed for the cure.

His pledges his assistance to Cybil, whatever the cost to him may be.

Cybil's coughing does not sit well with Ru'umel, "I will gladly get the priestesses blood."

Cybil, ever the faithful one, tells Ru' "She must not be killed..."

This does not sit well with elf either. He continues to finger his rapiers while listening to Cybil and this monk discuss their plans...

Some of the citizens of Sundren city have been seen with unseasonably bad coughs... Certain scurrilous rumours have implied that there may be people with serious lung disease who have been quarantined by the watch.

Jaelin hears of the disease spreading about Sundren like wild fire from a man in the Four Laterns Inn and furrows his brow....

Tha' sounds like a serious problem....why would someone do such a thing ta all these goodly people...

I walked passed Cybil on ma way ta the Trading Post last night and she looked like death warmed over....such a thing is just plain wrong...

I hope they find tha people responsible and hang 'em......this plague could kill hundred's o' people.....*sounds flabbergasted*

The man just frowns as Jaelin finishes his ale and he walks toward the door....as he exits into the streets a farmer across the way starts coughing up a lung...

He takes a hide bandanna from his belt and puts it around his mouth; for whats its worth.....

And it not be worth much...

                He mutters to himself.....

The mans coughing spasms continue as Jaelin leaves the outskirts of the city....planning to not return anytime soon unless absolutely necessary....

Cirion enters the city watch and kindly asks to speak to a person in charge about the recent start of the new lung disease spreading around.

When finally speaking to a city watchman, Cirion smiles warmly as he speaks.

"Hello there good sir and protector of Sundren."

After his greeting, his smile fades away and he continues to speak

"I wanted to speak about important information on the recent Disease spreading around our fine nation. I'm here to inform you there is one person seen intentionally spreading this new disease to another, though the now infected person is being cared for by the monks of Ilmater. The spreading of this disease is being done by a follower of Talona named Kerrigan. Once again some of the followers of Talona are trying to weaken our great nation."

Cirion then describes the woman to the same details Cybil had told him before.

"This carrier and spreader of the disease is a Human woman in her mid twenties and around five feet five inches. She has black hair, tan skin but her face is pale compared to the rest of her skin. She is also seen wearing the holy symbol of Talona around her neck."

"If you do find Kerrigan, I would recommend you have a few people from the Triumvirate look to her so they can quickly create a cure for this disease and stop it before more of our loved ones become infected or before even more die."

                    The hunt for the talonian

Cybil calls all those that wish to help find the Talonian priestess Kerrigan, to the Temple. Two parties will be formed for the search, on lead by Ambrose McMannis, and the other, by Cybil's distraught 'brother' a hin named Achibald Galley.

                    ((
The hunt will begin at ~6:00 pm est, roughly one hour from the time of this posting -- if you're intersted, please come to the Triumvirate. If you desire instead to be a nasty person, helping Kerrigan, please contact her or Nocte IG ))

Kerrigan knew of the search for her, she had decided to take shelter at the Mossclaw encampment with five of her many minons of the Swarm.
Shortly afterwards they arrived the so called champions of Righteousness
They gave her and her minions no quarter they tried to put up a fight but they where defeated.

Being captured a unconscious Kerrigan was taken to the Triumvirate where they extracted her blood and brewed potions to fight off her disease.

Against her will while she was unconcious she was given the cure to her disease, a day went on color came back to her face, days went on and against all odds her sickness returned, the cure had not worked on her. Talonas blessings where far more powerful to one who is willing to succumb to her will.

After many hours of searching for both her and an ogre deemed strong enough for the mixture, both were found within a scant few miles of the other.

The ogre was dispatched first, with the help of many friends and their talents, he was no match for desperate men.

The talent of the scout in the party proved nearly uncanny as they were guided straight to the doorstep of the witch and her thugs. Without but a word, she summoned a skeleton and struck out at the party. A nearby mercenary joined the cause of righteousness and smote our foes to the man. Only one was left alive... She was spared simply because she was required for the cure.

Carried back to the temple wrapped and unconscious, the slumbering body of Kerrigan was set down on the hard stone floor and watched as the expertise of the old man went to work combining the agents required for the mixture. Bone, silver dust, holy water, and the tainted blood. One after another they went in, and with a final prayer, the mixture was complete. An entire barrel full of the potion, enough for the city and then some.

It would be given freely to any who asked, one vial per person, to ensure enough was left to spare. No disease comes at a cost and no cure should either.

The first vial went to poor Cybil, who was suffering greatly by that time. It worked almost immediately as her face flushed with life. The second vial went to Kerrigan, for no servant of Talona can suffer without her afflictions. After she was cured, she was bound, gagged, and searched. Papers of her registration were never found and it was presumed she never had any. Among her other crimes though, this is a minor one...

Escorted to the Sundren prison, she awaits trial and sentencing.

Struggling just to raise herself on the bed, Cybil told everyone that came what needed to be done. Her little hin 'brother' she sent on with them, for he was anxious to help.

She awaited, in a fitful sleep, for them to return.

Archy was the the first to return telling her that they had all the ingredients, and that they would be there soon.

Ambrose prepared the potion in a large container, enough to make many vials with many to spare for those that had contracted the disease. Cbyil was slipping closer and closer to the void when Ambrose finally put the potion to her lips and made her drink. Within a scant few minutes, the potion acted, giving her breath where none was before. The people of Sundren would be safe from the plague now, and she sighed.

As her strength came back she told those that waited that the worst punishment that Kerrigan could have was to be healed of her disease, for she reveled in it. At the very least, it would slow it so that it would not be able to affect anyone like it had. She had no papers, and she would face justice for that as well. Only time would tell if Kerrigan would learn the lessen of the strength and will of the Ilmatari against the suffering caused by Talona.

The Broken Ones were asked if they could discharge the potion to all those in need, who were suffering. The plague would be iradicated before it had gone to far.

The consumption is slowly spreading throughout Sundren, people falling rapidly ill all over. Signs can be seen in the windows of a small grocery shop:

"Closed for business until further notice, all transactions through vinegar-soaked coins will be delivered the same day.

                            Apologies for the consumption-induced inconvenience."

Whispers travel as is their nature of Talona's wrath being spread throughout sundren.
