  • Vengeance: Cirion, The Fallen Paladin.

((OOC: There were a lot of parties involved with this, however, I will not address their names in case they fear being metagamed. ))

Far too long has Zack witnessed the Fallen Paladin's lies and deceit. Openly lying against him, to women, and to everyone else. Endangering many lives, but most importantly, Zack's life. How could everyone treat Zack like a devil, when Cirion was more of one than Zack could ever be?

How many times has Zack been attacked at the Trade Post by him, or his allies, and nobody stood to do anything? Yet they all sing and preach their unprejudiced and unconditional justice.

    Unacceptable.

The Sharrite's corpse placed in the crossroad's wheat field had presented a golden opportunity. Who better to take advantage of it than Zack? He couldn't help but grin at fate's changing tide while striding towards the Trade Post, where he would find Cirion and Cybil.

He couldn't help but praise his own fortune and fate that Cybil would take it upon herself to ignore the tiefling's information on the corpse and leave. Leaving Cirion to head out there by himself to investigate and secure the corpse.

    Perfect. Too perfect.

Zack was careful, he didn't want to ruin this perfect opportunity by being careless. He made sure he didn't follow behind Cirion, especially since he took it upon himself to run out there by himself. The last thing Zack wanted would be the Sentinels witnessing a tiefling following a man, that would disappear, out of the Trade Post. Even if Zack didn't do anything, there's no question where the blame would land.

No. He would wait for Cirion to stay out in the crossroads for a while before joining up with him.

With Zack's aid, Cirion would find the bare corpse of the female elf deep within the wheat fields at the crossroads, but he would also find so much more.

    A trap.

His ally would attack Cirion while he was occupied with examining the corpse. Zack and the others would pretend to be surprised. They would flee in supposed fear and watch Cirion's battle with the person at a good and safe distance.

Only until Cirion was drawing his last breath did they intervene. Each one taking their turn in extracting vengeance for what he has done to them, until they were all satisfied.

    Then, they would kill him.

Cirion knew something was wrong to begin with, he knew but went...

Cirion ran to the Crossroads, regardless of his feelings. He was told of a body being found in the Crossroads with Banite carvings placed on it. He decided to hurry and do all he could to secure the place and bring it to the Triumvirate.

Cirion dashed off to the place, to quickly locate the body. Checking along the roads, he then saw two figures that gave him a bad feeling. These two had been spending much of their time together and knew the one hated him, and the other... Well, he knew the other was knee-deep in crimes committed on Sundren Territory. Despite this, he then asked Zack where the body was, the other person however responded by saying they would show him...

The next thing Cirion can see is darkness, his eyes closed shut, and his body aching all over. His skin still pale, a horrible headache, a want to vomit, and his groin in even worse pain. Cirion slowly opens his eyes to see he is in the Temple of Helm, the room for their patients. He went to pull himself up to a sitting position but quickly gives up due to a mix of horrid pain and nausea. Instead he lays there for a few hours, trying to piece together all that has happened to bring him here.

This time he slowly sits up, brings his feet to the floor, and puling himself to a sitting position. The man takes a few wobbly steps forward and immediately looks for a bucket and pukes. His whole body in pain and in no condition to do much of anything. He sits down with his head near the bucket for several moments before he decides to move away from the spot and back to his bed.

Cirion used a few herbs he was given to alleviate the pain he was in but it was only enough to deal with his headache. Despite how he felt, he soon started pulling on his armor. The heavily padded cloth, the thick chain over-layer, and then strapping on the plates of his armor. All of this was usually something he did with relative ease and speed, now took him a few hours. Cirion was offered some help in putting on his armor but he said he would need it later.

With his armor on and still feeling like something was repeatedly stomping on his crotch, Cirion left the Temple of Helm with the help of others. Cirion then made slow leave of the city. His breathing was deep and heavy as he walked, even though there was a person to help him move.

When Cirion arrived at the Exigo Trade Post and saw the tree near the camp fire, he walked over to it and fell to a sitting position against the tree and unintentionally causing himself more pain. He soon leaned over to his left side and laid his head over onto the grass. His mind only half there on the on-goings around the fire, in a dazed-like feel. It took several hours for him to feel better, to actually pay attention to much of anything besides pain.
