Artimis lays comfortably in the Temple's Storeroom upon a stack of barrels a simple blanket laid out under him to form a makeshift bed, having not been assigned a bed inside the Temple yet, dressed in obvious deep purple robes of a Tyrran Cleric, albeit in a loose and relaxed manner, far different from the rest of his anal retentive brethren. He pulls a blue leather bound book out of his backpack, his shield and armor lying in the corner of the room and he begins to scribble down the things that have happened in the past few weeks spent in the Sundren Valley.
Journal,
Yes, It has been awhile since I have written in this book. Almost a whole year I think. A lot has happened since then, I am no longer at the Rosethorn Abbey. No more Father Perry chasing me down with a broomstick for not buttoning up my collar or forgetting to address a high-ranking visitor by his rank.
I was sent here, to the Sundren Valley. Transfered to the Triumvate Temple at the request of my Grandfather...Father Perry. His words I remember well..."You lack discipline boy! you lack that Law and Order that makes a proper Tyrran Priest! Simple rules and traditions..The important things! Why cant you see it?" and I replied. "Wrong Grandfather....You forget what is truly important. The priesthood has buried itself in this shell of laws and traditions created by man. That..is not important. Curse me as you will, slander my name as you want. I am and always will be a priest of Tyr the Even-Handed. He still answers my prayers, he still grants me spells..and -that- my Grandfather is what matters...Not your Man-Made desires and traditions...but the desires of a god"
I left after that, not a word spoken between us since. I traveled far and wide, eventually finding myself in Sundren. I traveled to the Triumvate Temple as soon as I possibly could, but with the Abbott too busy to take my papers or accept me into the church, I had to provide my own way around things.
I traveled the area, I made my presence known to other members of the Temple of the Triad...An Illmateri woman known as Cybil, A Tormite Paladin known as Julia and an old War Dog Illmateri known as Ambrose.
Other than that..I met a few others, a pretty little red-headed Hin girl by the name of Peri and an Elven Woodsman(My speculation right now is that he's a ranger) by the name of Ru'umel.
I bear a kind fondness towards the previously names mentioned above, all of them have good hearts, and that..i cant appreciate.
Others however....Thayans in particular. How is it that these people could be so twisted and false? What drives them to do such things? Slavery...Lies..Corruption....They seem to swim in that black sea, living off it's waters, breeding and pissing in it, swallowing their own feces....
Julia was harrassed by a sexually incompentant Hin by the name of Spuds, previously injured from some unknown incident and refusing to be healed when offered the opportunity..claiming that the "ladies" liked scars...or in my opinion..bloody little pests. The Hin continued to hug onto her leg even as she asked him not to. We tried to pull him off her leg but to no avail....And so, i went to get the guards.....I arrived back with a couple guards in tow, motioning toward the Hin whom at that time clinged onto Julia's leg like some sort of sexually frustrated leech. The guards saw this, and they saw Julia shake him off her leg....He fell into the mud in an ungraceful and exagerrated manner, springing to his feet, pointing his stubby little finger about, claiming assault....
And this is where the Thayans stepped in...A female Thayan Knight by the name of Lauan and her Tiefling accomplice, who's name is yet unknown to me. They claimned to have seen Julia assault the halfling..Claiming the halfling did nothing wrong, saying that Julia was a pretender....and through this all, they seemned to ignore the fact that the guards were right there...The Tiefling urging Spuds to run over to report the assault upon his person before his "wounds" which previously covered his body were to heal....And from my knowledge, I have no doubt that the Hin did so..Disregarding the fact that the guards were right there through the whole incident....I truly do not understand how the minds of these kind of people work....trying their best to destroy all that is good in the world, to go as far as trying to tarnish the name of a paladin and the god she serves....Such things, are unforgiveable.
Artimis Marshall II
He closes his book with a sigh, leaning back on his backpack with his hands rested comfortably behind his head "Tyr knows this has been a frustrating time for me...Whatever do you have planned for me oh Even-Handed?"
