I never did like being captive. The whole idea of being helpless and at the mercy of somebody I know for certain is a few apples shy of a bushel.
Sehron looked through the bars then back to his elder brother. He was not sure where these madmen where taking them, but he knew the end result was most likely their untimely demise.
"What exactly did we do to piss these guys off Caelryth."
Caelryth peered from under his hat and smirked, "Exist."
"Yet another thing I am being punished for that I have no control over."
"You see little brother, these men have it in their minds that anybody who has had any contact with demons or devils should be be cleansed from Faerun. The "Dark Taint" must be destroyed to keep those who are innocent safe."
Sehron chuckles and shakes his head. "I will take a stab in the dark and say that reason and logic is not going to help us out of this senario."
"How many people have you known to follow Faith blindly and still bend an ear to reason and logic, little brother?"
"You have a good point Caelryth."
"I do hope you have a plan Sehron."
"Ofcourse. Escape these bonds, escape this cage, escape our captors, and then run toward freedom with open arms."
A grin creeps across the white haired elf's lips. "Great plan. Just tell me when to act, and I will light the first one up like a torch."
"You creep me out sometimes. Most people try to supress things like that, you just let it flow like water in a stream."
"The more you fight what you are, the weaker you become. I just happen to enjoy what I am. It is not as if it was my doing, I just played with cards that were dealt to me, as you so often phrase it little brother."
The wagon stopped. A man shouted orders for camp to be made.
All I wanted was to give my mother peace before Sehanine called her to the Planes, and yet even at this, madness follows. Fate is an elusive mistress, one bent on seeing that my life has as little peace as possible.
"I only say that because I know how to stack the deck."
Sehron smiles and leans against his prison. The bumps had stopped, perhaps now he could rest and regain his strength.
