Name: Aori
Race: Aasimar
Class: Monk
Deity: Jergal
Aori Grew up in a small village in the outskirts Sundren. Her life was fairly normal except for the occasional teasing from other children about her grey hair. But when ever one of the adults heard them they were instantly punished, which seemed strange to her but kept the teasing under control for the most part. One night in the cold winter though her village was attacked by a small band of undead. At first first she was frightened like all the other villagers. But after seeing a close friend cut down her fear vanished. In its place came an overwhelming anger. Unable to control herself she attacked the undead in a fury and killed each one of them with her bare hands. After it was over she passed out and the the villagers carried her back to her family's house. When she woke up in the morning she was shocked to find that her eyes had changed to a grey color that matched her hair. Even more shocking though was the large intricate grey marking on her face. She also quickly realised that her own family now viewed her as a stranger. The local cleric of Jergal came when he heard she had awoken. He explained that the village had adopted her when he found her on the church steps and sensed that she was an aasimar of Jergal. he explained that, according to traditional church lore, aasimars of Jergal were to hunt those that had been stolen from Jergal's grasp, like undead, and those that were avoiding their natural fate by prolonging their lives, like vampires and liches, by destorying their material bodies to releash the souls traped inside. She readily believed him as even then she could feel a burning desire to kill more undead. No longer comfortable in her village she left on a quest to find and kill enough undead to satisfy her boiling desire for their blood.
