  • The Strange Forest Girl

    Shia is a strange woman, she travels mostly along the wood and when she enters towns and cities she seems to admire her surroundings and pay very little attention to those around her. She never speaks unless spoke to and even then her correspondence seems ... odd. She speaks in the third person and begins every sentence with her name; her terminology always appear to be similar to what rangers hear when communiing with animals (calling a jail cell a "cage", and men and women "male and female" for example).

    Shia does not know what brought her to the forest she only know she has been there for as long as she remembers. Shia learned all her languages from a Dryad she followed around for a number of years, due to this she understands "Sylvan" more so than Common.

    Shia cares little for worldly wealth and only carries gold and gems for the purpose of trading for things she needs. She has no sense of "worth" for any item and will often leave the decision of cost in the hands of the one she deals with; while merchant dealings often go well she is easily swindled when dealing with less reputable sources.

    Shia loves the forest and all the creatures she often sits quietly watching the animals wishing she could be one. Shia looks at the animals as free, never judged by humanoids, and able to live their lives without reason to care for the trival matters of the "Two-legged" beings. Due to thise desire she has taken all her time to study as a Druid, originally under the Dryad she met but eventually on her own. She aspires to be able to Wild Shape into as many different creatures as possible and to experience their lives. Whether she just wants to experience their lives or whether she is escaping from her own is up to interpretation. Perhaps one day she will meet her goal and all will become clear.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

    OOC notes: Her past, where she was born, how she got to the forest ... and why she was left there were all left open purposely. I hereby give any and all DMs 100% permission to do with that as they please. If at any point her "past" fits into something you are working on feel free to run with, you have my permission to add in anything you like prior to her first memory (roughly age 6 was her first memory).

    Also I am hereby "Declaring" my intention to have a Druid/Master of Many Forms/Nature's Warrior character. I saw on the stats that no one plays a Nature's Warrior and read through the "flavour text". It fit my character concept so much I decided it would be the best possible class for her ... then shortly after I read the MOMF and realized it also does nothing but add to her desire to want to live as any creature but herself.

    Not to hijack your thread, just wanted to say a few things that might be helpful. There is a place to post character biographies, with one part showing only to DM's and yourself, and the other public information and a general character description for everyone else to read. DM's will look there if they want to use anything of anyone's backgrounds in the events they create, so you might want to put this there as well.

    A link and instructions on how to submit all this can be found here:

    Lastly, thanks for the fun RP yesterday! Quite surprising and the combination of characters was hilarious and entertaining (you as a woman ignorant of 'civilized' customs concerning sexuality, Cirion the womanizer, and Yashia being a total prude)
    ))

      \\I actually registered there and hunted for a way to put in the bios but couldn't find it ... though i imagine it will be easier with the step by step instruction thread. Thanks for the link.

      EDIT - ah it appears I was looking at something wiki related ... out dated perhaps? this one is much simplier and easier.

        Yes, the wiki is still there for people to copy their old bio's to the new system, but I don't think it will be used anymore.

        Hope this one does work out for you
