    Day 1;

    My arrival in Sundren is a welcome sight indeed, less so because of the port town at which I first entered but more the very welcome farewell of the sea. I cannot understand how so many people wish to live their lives upon boats, my feet shall stay on solid ground now.

    After wandering around the town aimlessly for a few hours I managed to find work in the local tavern, delivery boy far bellow my skills but still it means I don't have to sleep out in the cold and that I can have some good mead tonight.

    The people in the land are a very chatty bunch, constantly talking. After so many years on my own this should be a nice change, but I must admit it is wearing my patience thin.
    Oh well, it isn't like I have a home to go back to.

    Day 2;

    I left the port town and made my way to the Sundren City, a long road but at least I had some coin left from last night to buy myself some extra food for the road, although funds are running low, I expect I shall need to find work soon in the city.

    After reaching the city I was greeted by a City Watch recruiter, the strange games that destiny plays.
    On my way to the City Barracks I dropped in a letter to Eovina Mysterwrit of the Hands of Mundus, I expect that they can help me in a way that I doubt any other guild can.

    After speaking to the head of the watch, I finally found out the fun job that I shall have, pest control, just the reason I travelled across the sea.

    In the sewers
    ---

    I stepped down into the sewer, one foot after the other, the darkness playing tricks on my eyes, wrinkling my nose as the putrid smell of the waste of an entire city hit me.
    This wasn't quiet what I expected, I had hoped for something a bit more, grand, but I guess I had to make ends meet.
    As instructed I took the door into the North section of the sewer and saw my marks, bats, about 10 of them, I popped them off one at a time with a well aimed spell.

    Unfortunately I strayed a little bit too far from my intended area. After taking a little bit too long gloating on how good a job I was doing I heard breathing behind me, heavy rattling breathing. I gulped. Glancing over my shoulder I saw 2 huge Lizard men, damn, things never stay sweet.
    I had to get out of there, looking at the door out of the corner of my eye, it was a good few metres away, I was going to have to run for it. I started running, just as a reached the door I felt a spear dig into my arm.
    I managed to get round the door and slam it shut, pressing myself up against it to keep it closed.
    Damn, after all these years I should know to keep my wits about me. Looking at the wound in my arm, blood glistening on my clothes, it doesn't look too bad, nothing that a nights rest and some quality ale won't fix.
    The only question is, where am I now?

      Apologies to those who have noticed that I am switching between, 1st and 3rd person as well as story and journal format. I am still trying to decide what suits me writing style best.
      Day 3;

      Logen came grogily back to the real world. After escaping from the Lizardfolk he had found a place to sleep in the sewers, wedged behind some boxes, hoping that he was not found whilst he slept.
      Suddenly his senses came back to him, he could hear something nearby over the pitter patter of sewer water. Staying low to the ground, he cautiously moved forward.
      Peering around the corner he saw two lizard men by the next junction, they hadn't seen him but he was cornered.
      Logen had to act fast while the element of surprise was still on his side. Jumping round the corner he let off a blast of energy striking the first of the pair in the chest knocking him out cold.
      The other lizard man was coming for him, cold beady little guys watching him.
      "Argghhh" screamed Logen as he fired off another blast but the Lizard man was too fast for him, and ducked under the blast wave. He was less than a few feet away now and Logen was running out of options.
      What was he going to do? He had to act fast.

      Calling up his last reserves of magic set a huge bright light in front of him, the Lizardman shrieked as the light burnt into his eyes which were, from years in the sewers, not acustom to the bright light.

      Logen saw his chance and ran past him, through himself around the junction and for the door at the end. Scrambling with the door handle, hearing the footsteps behind him.
      Finally he managed to get the door open, and burst out into the light. He tumbled onto his own feet and fell to the floor. Rolling onto his back, he saw the Lizard man shrink away as the door swung closed.

      Clambering to his feet and dusting himself down Logen peered around him, he was back where he started, the military ward, with little to show for his efforts of the previous 24 hours. He would have to go speak to the head marshall later, but for now he was shattered.

      As he slid into the Comfort in, a feeling of dispair in his chest, Logen began to think of home...
      Ol' Betty brought him back to the real world.
      "What can I do ya' for love?" She asked.
      "Just a room for tonight" Logen replied, dropping the last of his gold onto the counter before her.
      Betty frowned at the pitful coins before her, she sighed and looking up at Logen said "I have a small room that might be right for you, follow me."

      She led Logen upstairs to a small room, and gave him the key. The room was small, but Logen barely had time to take in his surroundings before he collapsed from exhaustion onto the bed, after all things like that, can wait until the morning.
