  • Meeting with Orlan Proskus

The morning sun woke the Knight far earlier than he expected. He laid there staring at his lover's face, only inches away from his own. Smiling softly while examining her peaceful expression, trying to recall his last moments before falling asleep the previous night. After what seemed to be a good half of an hour of thought and endless stare, he broke free from her embrace and slid out of bed, making his way to the cabinet holding his armor.

Soft patters of a light morning rain against the rooftop can be heard as he quietly dons his armor. Despite the battle yesterday, despite the kidnapping, despite the other incidents that added up to a very long list of troubles - He was lifted. As if the morning sun that washed away the night's darkness purged him from worry and anxiety. While checking his armor placement he offers a prayer and thanks to Lathander. Not only for the morning sun and it's comfort, but for Lathander being gracious enough to offer them one of his soldiers from the heavens to purge the shadows from Sestra.

Readjusting a few pieces to ensure his armor is perfectly secure he pauses as an idea floods into his mind. He smiles to himself and whispers under the soft pattering of the rain, "Right. Such an act like that must be honored, Lathander, ally of Torm - He who was bold and kind enough to shed your light on us during the darkest moment of our battle."

Hano swings his cape around his back and secures it around his neck with a firm, but convenient to undo knot. As quiet and slow as one could expect Hano in full plate to be, he leaves the room and works his way down the stairs, out the door and into the streets with a set destination in mind; The Temple of Helm.

Paying little mind to the early-morning trade and commotion about the streets he finds himself standing under the stone arc just before the Temple of Helm, guarded by an Everwatch Knight. Hano offers the Everwatch Knight his familiar greeting; a warm smile and a nod as he passes. He rests his fingers on the temple's door as if it were his own and pushes through into the entrance room. He takes care to wipe himself dry from the rain with one of the available rags placed to the side for what he imagined to be there for this very purpose.

He thinks to himself, wondering how many might have slipped and fell walking into a temple with stone floors slick from rain carried in by those that enter. Though, he doesn't let the thought distract him too long as he finishes, placing the rag back where he had gotten it.

Leaving the entrance room he is immediately met with the fountain, and there, Orlan standing before it as to be expected. The same expected smile when noticing someone enter. Despite Hano's tendency to get straight to business, he returns the smile and inclines his head slightly and continues with warm formalities.

"Orlan." He pauses raising his head to meet the older man in the eyes. "It's good to see you on this beautiful morning." Hano's smile becomes less formal and more genuine as he looks to the statue of Helm behind Orlan, speaking a prayer within his mind before returning his stare to the Abbot.

"I came here today to speak with you about coordinating our efforts with the refugees. I have no doubt that you have plans and are already acting on finding them shelter and food. Though, the Triumvirate and many adventurers that care for the people are as well. They have donated as much food and coin as they could spare in hopes of helping." He shifts his weight examining the expression on Orlan for a brief moment before continuing.

"So I ask you that we, as well as the other temples and organizations that are willing, combine our funds, efforts, and then coordinate them to better help the people, to be both swift and efficient." Hano relaxes a bit looking to Orlan for response and hopefully any information or plans he might have on the matter.
