Hano slides out of his bed.. Unable to sleep from the thoughts pouring through his mind, he reaches for his journal. "Write it down.. Forget it.. Go to sleep. Simple." He sighed to himself, dabbing the quill in ink and began.

The day was warm.. Sunny. Hasn't been like this in a while, and it has been a long time since I've been able to speak with Tamryn one-on-one. We had nothing better to do, so we took it into our own hands to go on a patrol. Nothing fancy, perhaps just skim through the Untrodden Grounds like we normally would. Few goblins, few gnolls, few spiders; no big deal. Something to do... Something to get our minds off of what has been going on.

Unknown Assasins, The Black Hand, Servants of Talona, Thayans, Syran, Colibrus, his three other lieutenants, The Veritas, and even our own people stood against us. Of course.. Some threats more idle than the other, but sometimes.. Sometimes the idle threats are the ones to be worried about. Time to clear our heads from all of this.. From *trails off as if he pulled his hand away* ...Damnit... It's getting cold again. I wonder if age is catching up to me? No matter.

...Things quickly fell from there. A simple walk, patrol, a fruit-less search turned into the most dreadful thing to ever befall Sundren. Before me stood Alyrian.. Accompanied by six of those children of shadow. They came for Tamryn. They walked right into the City and nobody would stop them - Nobody even noticed them. Me and Tamryn stood there before Alyrian with his conceited smile. Taunting us, taunting Tamryn. He told her.. Told her he would spare the people of Sundren should she only turn herself in. She.. She hesitated, but

I refused. A devil? Fine. An army? So be it. I had Tamryn.. We could have done it, and praise be to Torm Jamyse stepped from the Triumvirate just then.. I had enough time to scream for him to gather aid from the Temple... He ran through the Temple calling everyone to arms, to stand right outside our very Temple to fight the threats.. But... Nobody came. Not a single Paladin or Cleric. Balthasar, Caspar, or Melchior... Nobody. Tamryn, thank Torm, had a scroll of sending and asked for the Red Blade's help.

...It wasn't enough. While we stood in the Military Ward - The Ward that barracked every Paladin and soldier in Sundren... Nobody other than the twenty Red Blades, and the few guards on duty came. Even through the crying, screaming, the sounds of battle, and dying... Not a single person emerged from their barracks. Not the City Watch, the Helmites, the Triumvirate. I was... so helpless. I remember cutting down the Demon Alyrian, but even then, I woke up in the Temple of Helm... Beside Jamyse, which was more than welcome, but Tamryn wasn't there.. Tamryn was gone. Without a moment of hesitation I rushed to the battlefield to find her. Her body.. Anything. I was only met with the twenty Red Blades and the few guards - All dead, laying in their own blood. Not a single coterie was slain, or... Maybe I can't remember.. But they seem to be like Liches.. They don't die. Not from simple steel or magics.

Powerless. Weak. Sundren could not stand against six of their underlings, or protect a single person from them. Even as we stood within our very own city - In one of the most protected area of Sundren. I.. We.. Couldn't save her. She was taken... She was tortured, and worst of all they took from her one of her greatest wishes.

...I found her at the crossroads a few days later. Reports of a portal opening lead me to make God's speed to the location in hopes of finding her. She was... Broken. What they did to her.. What Mestra did to her... The most cruel of punishments I've witnessed. Second only to Tifton - Mestra took a dagger of acid, and forced it through her stomach, and into her womb. Mestra... has denied and taken Tamryn's gift of being able to birth a child. It was taken from her for what? Why? What purpose did this serve?

To torture a woman... To torture a woman simply out of pleasure, deprive her of her natural born rights. This... I'll... *trails off once more at the end of the letter*
