A letter written in elven sent to the Church of Helm:
Abbot,
It is my apology that I am not able to send this message in person but you were busy caring for the mortally wounded when I tried to speak to you last. I pen this letter to warn you of something you may already know. I've been hearing recently that attacks on paladins have been occurring. A few days ago, the slain body of the paladin Cirion was left at the church doorstep.
I can tell you that it was left by a dark vampire in seeming mockery of all things holy. Cirion however was not slain by the vampire itself but by a man that you may have helped at one point. I speak of the man who calls himself Omnigalas. He deals very closely with undeath and I have witnessed him summon skeletal warriors to his side. I suspect him to be a Blackguard by his prowess in combat and his dealings with the undead but I suspect even more. He smells of burnt charcoals and his strength surpasses those of mere men. I can almost swear as well that I heard him speak in draconic tongue. I thought that this unholy union was stuff of legends but I fear that he may also be a dragon half-breed. If my suspicions are correct, this is a dangerous combination in man.
I cannot say if the recent attacks on paladins, the vampire lord, and this man Omnigalas are related but I can attest to what I witnessed when Cirion fell. He fell at the hands of Omnigalas at the bidding and blessing of this vampire. Omnigalas and Cirion's body was then taken by the dark one into the air. I gave chase and later found Cirion at the church doorstep as if given to you as a taunt or as a warning.
Please relay this to the paladins in your charge and to the Triumverate. Hano and the others should learn of this as well. I pray that I am wrong in many of what I suspect but I have witnessed and heard enough to provide warning. I hope this letter reaches you well.
Sincerely,
Jos'iah Ithildurin
