*Elric sits in the corner with his legs propped up at Jimmy's Dice Den, contemplating the previous nights events.*

"Where do I start my missive to the Triumverate? How do I let the masses know the treachery that lurks there? Elric thinks back on that fateful night......"

It was not unexpected. Hano declared to Elric that the Triumverate would not support his assault, his meticulously thought out plan to rid the Necropolis of the evil that dwelt there. Apparently, the Triumverate had a rogue paladin out in the community and felt it more important to take care of this individual and "sweep" an embarassment under the proverbial rug before it got out. Elric should have known that the triumverate only thinks of itself and the churches involved. Well.....he could succeed anyway, he had to succeed!

They were all assembled. Yashia, Sehron, Mad Jack, Orrick, Isaniel, Elith, Nulinus (reluctantly), Karthus, Samael, Alyrian......he could not remember if anyone else was there, his mind was still a bit fuzzy from the daggers that had plunged over and over into his body from those damn little evil bastards on the third floor!

The plan was simple, they would use the fighter types to clear a path and once they encountered Neradnal or Tifton, the mages would use dispell magics to strip the evil ones of their protective magics and then they would all pounce on them. They had even almost succeeded in killing Neradnal, until he fled to the second floor.

The group gave chase, running into massive amounts of undead. However, they cut through them with ease, destroying skeletons, zombies, deathguards, and mages, moving slowly towards their ultimate goal..........the third floor, the center of this evil.

They finally made it to the top floor and there stood Tifton and Neradnal. However, they were in a predicament. Most of their magics had been used and they were now surrounded by dozens of the little evil bastards. Oh, how he hated them.............they were not that hard to kill, but there were just too many. So, Elric did what he does best, he gambled.

Elric remembers facing his once friend, when he called himself Landaren. Could he face him and win? He had seen him fight, had fought beside him many times, well, what the hell Elric thought, you only live once and I must get everyone out of here because I brought them here.

"Face me Neradnal in single combat. If you win, you can have me and the Necropolis, but let my friends leave peacefully. If I win, then you leave this place forever." As he spoke these words, Alyrian, the always weird Alyrian, screams in pain and then transforms into a Demon. Elric thinks, "You don't see that everyday."

To his surprise, Tifton and Neradnal agree to the combat and the terms. I remember..............I remember the rush and thrill of combat, of magic flowing through my limbs, of slashing down on Neradnal, then betrayal! Those evil little bastards surrounded me and cut me down. Then.....nothing for a bit, then laying, bleeding on the floor, watching the horror that had become Alyrian.

The rest is fuzzy. He sees images and lights and glimpses of combat between Alyrian and Neradnal. He sees Neradnal collapse and Alyrian triumphant, then.............he is on his feet and they have won! But, they still have to fight the evil minions that had been summoned by Neradnal and Tifton. It seems that they are leaving, but also leaving behind this undead scourge.

They cut through the undead and win their freedom. As they turn to finally depart, they see Neradnal one last time, leaving the Necropolis hopefully forever. With one last look, Neradanl makes an interesting comment..............

"You mistrust me and try to destroy us here, yet, you willingly fight alongside a demon."

    With that, it is over.
