Pycroft Aura, elf, does not have a home. He has been traveling for as long as he can remember. His family is a distant memory, as is his childhood. The few fond memories he has are mostly devious in nature. He remembers pushing another young elf out of a tree while scouting for dinner, and planting belladonna in the neighbors ale only watch him wretch it all over himself. He could be described as a wild-child.
Since venturing to Sundern, many have asked his trade, and his reply is usually, "In the perfect world I'd own a tavern, joke, drink, and gamble all day." Externally, he seems quite jovial, quick witted, and rather plain. Inside, he has great goals and aspirations. In the last city he was in, Waterdeep, he rose through the ranks to become second in line in the thieves guild, where he oversaw the actions of hundreds of rogues. The job was very lucrative, and he was very powerful. This all changed when his position was not enough. He wanted...no...he needed to be the head of the guild. A devious plot backfired on him, and he was ejected from the guild, lucky to still be alive (if it were up to the guild leader, he would not be). He healed on the road, traveling, and taking petty jobs, picking a pocket or two, and just trying to survive.
He happened upon Sundern in hopes of new opportunity. He sees himself as a changed man, still jovial, with goals, interested in politics and money. He vows not to let power go to his head. He looks forward to making connections, meeting people of power, and struggling up the ladder of success.
Maybe, just maybe, he can retire with a tavern of his own, joking, drinking, and gambling all day.
