  • Uther - The Wanderer

(Sorry everyone, I'm not a great writer. I just wanted to provide a little character background. Also any criticism would be welcome in replys or PMs.)

"He left his home Neverwinter, in disgrace. His father had betrayed his oathes to Neverwinter and became a deserter when the war wih Luskan began. Uther could no longer stand to look upon his father and left Neverwinter's walls before he had the chance to join the ranks of the city watch which had been his dream that he may serve Neverwinter. Uther had wandered along the swordcoast until he came upon a small village where he stayed awhile. He joined the local militia and picked up a few things like: Wielding a sword, crafting a blade, and some basic maneuvers. Amongst his new possesions, he crafted a greatsword which he would then on carry with him at all times. He soon left the village, feeling he had no place with them or any where else for that matter. He began to hire himself out to traveling merchants or villages along the sword coast who needed his sword. He slayed bandits and creatures the locals could not and made a living off it. He never asked for much, only enough to keep on going. When he had felt he had done everything he could there, he moved on once again. This time, he headed north. He bought passage on a ship and headed for the land Sundren hoping to regain his family's honor by doing good..."

*The tall man with a greatsword strapped to his back picks his head up and looks into your eyes* "How's that for a story?"

Not bad for a start, mate; certainly tells us who and why. If you like, I could blast this to bits as soon as I have some spare time. I've actually been editing things for the school newspaper for sometime now, and actually just about anything my friends hand me for that matter.
I have to warn you, though, a lot of people take editing the wrong way. I just want to let you know now that my criticism and corrections are in no way an insult. It is done purely for the sake of answering your request and aiding you in writing.

Might be best to keep replies in grey so we don't break the IC of this thread.

Well I thought it was good, gave me an idea of who he was.
Lauan - knight of Thay " I have no fear, and death is merely an inconvenience to me. I do not die until ordered to do so, I do not fall until every last bit of life has left me. I stand tall, proud, a Thayan knight."
