  • Arcanus Liberus Leadership

    WARNING
The following thread is a meeting of the Arcanus Liberus arcane organization. In order to attend you must be able to cast 2 cantrips and during the meeting divination magic will be used to insure privacy. If you wish to spy on the meeting, talk to a DM for guidance, otherwise do not read this thread as it will be metagaming.

*Elric looks at the assembled mages and clears his throat.*

I have decided that I will not step down as one of the leaders of the Arcanus Liberus in these difficult times. We only have two leaders as of now and one of them seems to be traveling and cannot be found. Therefore, we need solid leadership.

I have a proposal to put forth to the membership. What action should we take concerning Ill'Karesh, plague, and the blight in Viridale?

I propose that we debate these subjects and vote to see if we will help the government or remain neutral in these matters.

Gentlemen, I open this for debate.

Pardon me Elric but there are Ladies present......* Isaniel looks around* Well at least one.
These problems are effecting us all.
Not just the Government of Sundren.
I fear if we do not lend aid.... One or all of these things could be the end of us. I for one will aid with or without the help of the Arcanus Liberus.

Shalika nods at the mention of ladies. This was her first meeting, but she was all too familiar with Elric's carousing and womanizing. Still, she couldn't help seeing this as an endearing quality. Besides, the man had a way with words and his ability to compel was almost beyond equal.

Elith: "If we are to act against the Ill'karesh, we must do it swiftly. And unitedly. I am unaware how many of you have seen Landaren, or whatever he now calls himself, but I'm sure that he would cause problems for even the senior members of Arcanus if they met in single combat. As such, if we strike at all, it must be done quickly and powerfully."

Laura shifts uncomfortably in her seat, this being her first meeting as well. She decides to keep her opinion to herself for the moment, waiting to see how the others vote.

*emerges out of the shadows and nods in silence to Elith's words*

Excuse me, I have just arrived. I am not yet a formal member of this group but I heard of the meeting, and of late I am finally meeting the qualifications to participate in this organization. When it was first formed, my legal status was somewhat tenuous. I'm sure some of you may already know me, but for those who don't, my name is Deul Redwood.

*looks over to Elith, and continues her sentiment*

Once we are through deliberating, I suggest swift action. If we remain neutral, we must decide as a group and go over each of the consequences before resolving to absolve this matter from our consciousness and letting the town of Sundren pick up the moral slack.

However, if we are to act in a hostile fashion, it must be swift and organized. As the sign on the spiked fence so clearly says, "Any losses to your ranks will be increases in ours". En masse, as a flood of power, there is a greater chance of this not occurring than thin streams of assault.

So , I have not yet come to judgment on this matter. I have been away, and know little of what is happened save the end result. I will yield the floor so that others may speak.

*removes his hood and affixes his long-brimmed hat upon his head, looking to the others for input*

*Yawns, as he travels in distant lands. The irresponsible elf he is, he has forgotten all about Arcanus Liberus.*
