  • Attention Woodsmen of Sundren

Written onto the underside of a large piece of bark, the following notices appear around the Exigo Trading Grounds, the outpost at the edge of the Viridale Forest, the Rangers' Outpost, and on the bridge in the Valley Road to the Gate of the Sunderer:

    Attention, Woodsmen of Sundren!

In light of the many threats facing the wilderness areas of Sundren, and in the spirit of the mages' guild, Arcanus Liberus, I am calling upon all of us to band together in a more formal setting. A fraterity, if you will.

I realize that many of us tend to be loners or even suspicious of those we don't know, but the times call for us to become something greater than merely the sum of we woodsmen as disparate parts. We need the ability to tackle the problems of the wilderness as a combined group, the ability to more equally and efficiently patrol the lands, and the ability to pool our knowledge and wisdom for the betterment of all Sundren! Rangers, druids, woodsmen of any type -- if you would call yourself a friend to the wilderness of Sundren, I urge you to join me in the spirit of brother and sisterhood!

My name is Saracen, and you can find me at the Rangers' Rest tavern, or just follow my tracks. I'll call our first gathering in a few days.

Dahdmib returns from his studies to his woodland home, finding the notice and gladdened by the thought of becoming part of a group. He had always been unhappy alone, but found he could seldom enjoy the fraternity of his fellows. He would come, hopefully not too late.

James reads the bark and shakes his head.

"I left home because I was tired of being one of many Wardens of my lord. The thought of wandering alone for a time was and still is very appealing. *sigh* But, I guess you just can't break old habits...I'll listen to what this fellow has to say. "

A single wolf lingers around each posted note, observing those that may draw near, listening to their words, and studying their reactions. Each wolf is marked with an unrecognizable symbol on their hair.
