Cadmus gently takes the stone from the outstretched hands of Apocryphus and watches as the man slowly closes his eyes and enters a dreamlike state.

Motioning to several of the other nerby wizards to assist the diviner, Cadmus turns to face the remaining members of the conclave.

"It seems that Master Apocryphus has been successful in his attempts to discern the origins of the stone."

"If I am to unerstand the cryptic message brought forth from the diviners lips, the stone must be placed between the primordial power of two planar gates."

"The results of combining such a raw, chaotic magics can only be speculated, but it seems this course of action could be our only chance to return Master Ion to his normal state."

"I invite the opinions of all gathered before us this night, but in the end the decision rests squarely on the shoulder of the one afflicted..."

"Master Ion please step forward, we of the council await your reccomendation."
Cadmus of Helm - Priest of The Vigilant One, watcher of the coming darkness.

*Elric stands to address the council member*

I have reservations about any course of action before we fully understand the power of this stone. There also are several items we need to discuss:
      1. What happens when the stone is placed where it is supposed to? Will it kill Ion or cure him? Will it destroy the stone and leave Ion as a Dwarf.
      2. How will we get the stone where it needs to be? Opening a door to another plane is very powerful magic. Can any of you do that? In my travels I have come across some very powerful scrolls that may have helped us, but alas, I had to sell them to survive. My point is this is powerful magic that just doesn't happen with the flick of a finger.
      3. Who will place the stone or can it be teleported or levitated? If someone has to place the stone, what may happen to this person, death, injury, insanity? Also, we may have to prepare a guard for the person laying the stone because the planes we invade may harbor hostile creatures.

We really need to plan this out with great detail before we move forward.

Ion steps up upon Cadmus request and waits patiently as Elric finishes speaking before he says anything.

I be first off wanting to thank the efforts of the Arcanus in assisting me. The divin by mister Apocryphus be bringin new hopes that we be close to a solution. But I be agreein with mister Elric in dat dis vision be a bit vague. We for one do not be knowin with what planes we are to be connectin with, nor the loaction upon our own plane with which to be makin the connection. Secondly as much I be hopin to get back to my old self the concern for safety of both myself and any involved should be of utmost importance. I ask that further investigation be a takin to determine da answers to these questions and those brought up by mister Elric.

I do believe master Zhuul has performed a invoctaion of lore upon dis stone and we have yet to hear if he be havin any new light to bring to da table. Also I be askin any of ye who be havin knowledge of gates and summoning and transplanar travel be no matterin how minor to share with us you knowledge as it may be of great assistance in dis matter

Ion turns and looks to Zhuul before shufflin back to his seat.

The instant before Z'huul has his opportunity to speak, a rather painfal sounding cough erupts from the half-collapsed figure of Apocryphus, who proceeds to open his eyes narrowly. Studying the room, realizing that a few heads had turned, he raises his hand slightly, as he speaks in an exhausted tone of voice.

"If I... if I may interject quickly, I would like to note something I came to realize as I layed here, listening to the discussion."

He coughs some more, pausing as he does so, waiting for the fit to pass before continuing.

"There seems to be an assumption that accessing doors to other planes requires some great feat of magic. It is much like a group of wizards to over-complicate things, isn't it..."

Tilting his head back against the wall again, closing his eyes gently, Apocryphus quietly sings a small rhyme before apparently succumbing to a state of mind between conciousness and unconciousness.

"Until sun rises the night to cease
Let all there be a bit of peace,
And let all creatures, small and grand
          Ascend into the dreamer?s land."

*Elric looks to the panel that has come together to help brother Ion*

*Elric looks to Val, Cadmus, Apocryphus, and Z'huul*

Have we come up with a way to help Ion. What is the situation currently?

OOC - I am not sure, I posted to find out what the current situation is, but nobody has posted anything?

Maybe he just killed himself because he couldn't stand being a short, stocky, smelly, bearded dwarf anymore

Ion walks thru the door just in time to hear Elric's comment.

BAh lad I aint be running and killin myself so easy now. I do fear dat someone else may be a tryin too though. Atleast dat what Mister Cadmus be thinkin maybe a happenin.

Reason yus aint been seeing me oh late is I be layed up on me back weak as a hin wife.
not 2 weeks back I be takin a walk to be meetin someone out by da farms. Nextthing I be sippin from a tin cup and ben nursed after by a farm lass. She be sayin she found me near thought fer dead by her boys dat i be lacin stick oh the nose down in the dirt. Now I not be recallin any oh dis it just be what she be tellin me. Says I not come too fer 3 days. an I can be a vouching fer the rest that whatever happen I couldnt even stand to be a walkin fer quite sometime.

I give my recoverin to perhaps some oh that dwarven blood. But dat dont mean I wantto be stayin dis way no sir. So let me be hearin what ya be commin up with in me absence.

OOC I think this situation got dropped on the back burner with zhuuls ban Cadmus switchin classes and Ion being assasintated. I would like to move on with this and was hoping that more of the Arcanus would find involvement other then just Zhuul Elric Apocryphus and myself.

"In your extended absence, I had elected to write down what I had recalled of the words that had come to me. I feared that over time, you might forget what I had said, and I thusly preserved them on this parchment. Make what you will of these... divinations."

//OOC: Just jump back a page and review what I had said, if you still intend on using the vague, mildly poetic prediction type things.
