"The Thayans, it seems, have become a threat to this fledgling organization and we must organize to meet this possible threat. We cannot organize without proper leadership. I call for a vote now!"

* A tall mage with red hair and freckles wearing beige robes stands and speaks *

Wait a minute. Wait a minute. We've all been mislead by Z'huul * points to Z'huul *

He's admitted he's an agent of Thay. Why are we even still here?

*An old halfling arrives very late to the meeting*

You youngins never wait for the important ones before you start your meetings. Rigrin Hinknet, scholar of Candlekeep for the gods only know how many years....., studier of divination. Well, what did I miss? Come on folks, I could die any minute here.

*Puck runs up and hands the old halfing a muffin*

*Rigrin grins at Puck*

Well at least one of you youngins has some respect for your elders. *goes into a short coughing fit*

Hmm... *Val stands* As a well established wandmaker known to make high quality wands of all varieties, I'd like you to bear in mind I could probably do anything Elric there, *gives him a smile and a nod* could do, and more.

*He chuckles* That is, if you are willing to seriously consider either of us as candidates.
*He sits back down*

*Elric stands and grins*

Well, maybe Val and I should lead this motley band then?

"As to Zhuul, I heard rumors, are they true? If they are true, then the original intent of this group is suspect. Was it not Zhuul's concept and work that brought this group together? What was Zhuul going to use this group for? It seems we must investigate this whole matter before we can vote on anything. I guess we probably need to vote to see if we should even continue with this group?"

[Grunt9101]

A small gnome walks into the room, curiosity on his face, holding a pet rat, stroking it softly. Quietly, he waits for a moment to speak up, waiting for the talking to die down.

" Hello, my name is Perugo. I do not mean anyone any harm, I am here on account I want to join the ranks of the Arcanus Liberus. It would be quite nice to join others with the same interests as my own."

He stands near the wall, waiting for an answer on what was to come.

Does it matter? If he tries to lead us in an undesirable direction, he will be removed from leadership quickly. If he complies with everyone's wishes, then what problem is there, Thayan or no? Besides, The rumour is probably false anyway: you all saw that poster. He's been thrown out of his room! *chuckles*

[Leaving Hope]

* The same red headed wizard with freckles stands up to address Val. He is nervous, unaccustomed to public speaking, and his face very nearly matches his hair. *

The point isn't that he's a Thayan, Val.

The point is that he mislead us. He lied to us, pointed out reasons why we shouldn't be involved with Thay, and all the while he was doing exactly what he said we should be avoiding. I'm having a hard time with this. I feel betrayed.

He already did lead us in an undesirable direction.

How are we supposed to trust him? How can he be a leader when he knowingly lied to all of us? What other things is he hiding?

Don't we expect more from our leaders? Cadmus, I understand. I think he's a good person, and wants the best from us. But Z'huul has deceived us.

[Dune]

*An average aged man, cloaked and hooded enters the meeting. He stands at the back of the meeting, silent, and listening to the discussion. He shakes his head at different parts of the conversation in dis-agreement. He slowly takes out a pipe and inhales slowly...*

[sparkeh]

Peppington twists his beard in anxiety.

"Oh dear we are in a bit of a pickle aren't we. Well...I.er...if this is true then Mr Zhuul shoudn't be leader...should he?"

The cat forcefully nudges Peppington.

"Oh er yes...and is there any chance of those muffins coming round again?"

[Shadoweaver]

Z'huul speaks in his dead voice. "I am not, nor have I ever been an agent of Thay. I made it clear that I would not assume a position of leadership if any member objected. Since one does object, I shall not be part of the leadership. Is there anything else to discuss?"

[sparkeh]

Peppington throws his hands up in the air.

"Goodness now I don't know what to think. Who should be leader then? And if we can't even agree on this, how is the group going to hold together."

He looks around the room

[rustediron]

*Val chuckles* Can't even agree on this? You make it sound like we're talking about who makes the best muffins. This is an important topic, and is getting its due attention.

[Kangleton]

Apocryphus slowly stands at his full height, after previously having been leaning on the nearest object. He studies everyone present for a long moment, and at the earliest silence, he begins to speak:

"I find it odd that a presumed agent of Thay would be so intent on insulting the integrity of the entire Thayan organization. If the expressionless one truly belongs to the cloaks of red, he is a poor representation indeed."

Within the following moment of silence, Apocryphus returns himself to his visibly unattentive position, leaning against the nearest object with his arms folded loosely.

[Cadmus Runesmith]

*Cadmus remains silent during the debate, listening to each of the gathered members state their opinions in turn. Smiling to himself as the debate continues he slightly nods his bearded head as the issues are discussed in turn*

"Truly they are beginning to act as a consortium now, finally allowing their varied idealogies to foster an open forum."

*Smiling to himself, Cadmus settles back and listens to the remainder of the debate.*
