A tall well built young human man, with blond hair and blue eyes. He's pretty good looking in a rugged outdoors kind of way.
Personality:
Cheerful and vivacious, Skeld rarely finds anything in life not to his liking, unless there is the prospect of an ale shortage.
Background/History:
Skeld was born to the Grey Wolf tribe of the Uthgart, and from a young age he was trouble. Being much bigger than his fellow children he was either regarded as a protector or an object of ridicule. This would tend to get him in trouble with the adults of the tribe, they would often see him as a bully and trouble maker as their "Little Darling" would return home with a broken nose and a tale of "Skeld being a bully" although it was usually the child in question who was the bully.
Not one to take these misunderstandings personally, Skeld grew up a cheerful and relatively carefree individual. He would help his father in the blacksmith, pumping the bellows, or preparing and carrying the huge amounts of charcoal needed. Once he was old enough he helped with the hammering, which helped to build him into a tough and powerful young man.
While not overly endowed with intelligence, Skeld is a friendly and good looking man, which helped to get him in even deeper trouble. Skeld and two other boys in the tribe had all got their eye on a pretty girl, Aaria, now this lass was not the sort to show the same beauty inside as out, she thought of a task for the three young men to impress her. Skeld and his best friend Uthred were not likely to compete to fiercely with one another, but Bors, the other lad, was a nasty sort.
The task set was to retrieve some flowers, but this particular sort only grew on a certain mountain, a fearsome climb and infested with an Orc tribe. Uthred, Skeld and Bors set off together in high spirits, each vowing to be back with the biggest bunch of the desired blossoms.
The three lads reached the mountain with little difficulty, and began their climb. While this was no mean feat, they all reached the area where the flowers grew, and began picking the blooms as quickly and carefully as possible. Unfortunately, unknown to the three Uthgardt, the local Orc shaman used the flowers as a herbal remedy and had dispatched a foraging party on the same day. The Orcs did not take kindly to the three humans picking their flowers. Weapons were quickly drawn and with a howl Skeld and Uthred crashed into the Orcs, in defence of their gifts. Bors however was not so honourable, and finished picking his flowers, trampled the rest and fled before the fight was over.
Battered but victorious the two friends returned to collect their prize, only to find it destroyed and Bors gone! Furious at this betrayal the two lads returned to their village, arriving in time to see Aaria congratulating her betrothed with a kiss, while the headman ordered Skeld and Uthred arrested! Apparently Bors had returned and reported the fact that the others had tried to murder him on their journey. He had escaped and fled back to the tribe, barely with his life and prize. His story was supported by the injuries he had sustained, although self inflicted no doubt.
Appalled at this turn of events, Skeld's father organised a rescue for his son and Uthred. During the rescue Skeld's father was slain by Bors and his thugs. Beside himself with grief, but unable to reach Bors for vengeance, Skeld was forced to flee the village with Uthred.
Pursued by Bors and a hunting party the two lads fled their homeland and decided to split up, find their fortune and return another time to reap their revenge.
Current Goals: Women, ale, money and revenge, in that order.
