All members of the Vaarcs family keep a journal to hopefully be added to the family journal near the end of their life, these are some readings from the journal of Taallic Vaarcs


I've just arrived in Sundren after a fairly unenjoyable sea voyage. If possible I shall avoid travel by ship in the future and merely ride or walk. Upon leaving the boat a young half-elven woman bumped into me, quite the atractive thing too. I decided to take advantage of the situation and ask her for directions. Instead she gave me a history of her life in Sundren, though short time wise was extremely long

I think I must know half the population of Sundren by now thanks to Immy, on the downside, I know them all by strange nicknames and have only strange descriptions of most of them but the most important. The names that seemed to come up as he most important were Alene, Talhka, Zeke, Yasmina, Cid, and a one Shea. I'm not positive on all the spellings or even if they are the real names. Aside from Yasmina and Alene I know little outside of the fact that Talhka(I'm honestly thinking she was saying this wrong, but who knows) is some sort of priestess I honestly know very little.


There was also a good mention of a Sigrun, he must be some kind of ranger from the sound of it I'd like to meet him, and a Neer. Gods though, she must really have known a lot of people, so many names.

Well now I've been here for a few days and I've met a lot of people. Often surprising them by knowing who they are or calling them by Immy's nick name for them. Most seemed to show some sort of discomfort or sadness to the mention of Immy leaving. Or at least surprise. It seems I've been saddled with telling people she left.

I've met Cid, he calls himself a sailor but to be honest I think he's a pirate. Either way he is pleasant enough company and I gave him his message from Immy. Also, he seemed to have found Immy's old journal which I now have in my possesion. She seemed to a lot of writing, though most of the later entries have been damaged beyond saving.

I've also met Alene, and just like I thought she is a little loose in the head. She's even better looking than Immy though, and that dress does look fantastic on her, though could be better on floor if you get what I mean. I got a really strange request from Immy for Alene though I am suppossed to "watch over her". I was tempted to just try and avoid her, but I found and well, yeah. She seems like she can take care of herself better than I could so not sure what that is about.


Sigrun and Neer I met as well. Sigrun I think has some sort of anger issue with this one woman, Sylloven or some such, Immy mentioned her as well, though she called her something else. Anyways if I had to put money on it I'd say Sigrun and Neer are some sort of couple. Sigrun is a hell of a tracker and ranger though. With all this damn rain I couldn't really make heads or tails or some of these tracks, Sigrun showed me how to handle that though.

I'm not sure what happened. That's all I know for sure to be honest, that I don't know what happened. I was tracking members of the Cartel with some others, Elves I remember...Something happened...I woke up in the temple and the Abbot could tell me nothing.

I couldn't....I felt weaker...I couldn't remember how to do a lot of things...I have vague memories of my brother being there, helping me. I don't think it actually happened though. I doubt Haalic appeared out of nowhere and then just left.

As time has gone on I remember what I was...but I'm not like that anymore. I was a ranger...a pretty good one I'd say...but now...all those skills...they've gone into the trash, I can barely track anymore. I almost feel blind when I'm in the wilderness. I'm a lot more comfortable in this full plate armor I found though...and I seem to be doing a lot better my greatsword than I was before......


This entry continues for sometime, many things being repeated more than once. A lot of seems to be in just attempting to remember and in feeling discomfort of the loss.

I've been thinking recently, well not recently since I met her. I have a cousin, well at least that's what we always called them. Not too sure they are actually related to us as her older brother Varsca was raised by Drow, and he raised her.

The Immy I met in the port that day, I'm starting to think she might by cousin. I didn't really recognize her, but it had been a few years since I had seen her. And she didn't seem to really be acting like herself.....If it is her, well that doesn't change much, or maybe it does....
