  • the Journal of the Smallest Balantaur

((First and formost, permission for both Seano (Mytharyan Balantaur) and Desmodu (Banick Balantaur) to write in this journal from time to time.))

...about a week now, but Banick has assured me that he has set us up with a decent place to spend the remaining few days here.
I'ts been a pleasant few weeks. I can hardly believe that my brothers have actually kept themselves calmer than usual. Maybe it was the day after day of running in fear of yet another barman that Myth had punched in the face, or yet another angry crowd with pitchforks and the like who Banick had the sense to call their religion "Rubbish! Tempus rules the waves! He rules everything! Sod...who? Lathand-whatnow?". But no, they have been quite pleasant. I may allow them to try out that bar near the docks for their good behavior. I can see that they have clearly...

...Those two-faced, absent-minded, bile-driven, piles of cud-meat! How could they? How could they ruin everything...Again? By Tempus, what in the name of all gods holy did Banick think he was doing when he accepted that job to 'bounce' that damn pub...And then chuck the bleeding owners out? And why did Myth have to down that entire keg of...the gods know what it was...before getting so drunk he set fire (the gods know how) to the rest of the kegs?
Honestly...I'ts getting beyond comprehension now, of my brother's stupidity. Once more, yet again, as before, similar to prior...god knows how many times i have used those...we are on the run from a group of villagers, pitchfork, flaming torch, "Burn 'em!" type, the usual. Perhaps my brothers actually letting the inn burn to the ground without trying to put it out (They were too drunk to notice i assume) is one of the reasons why the whole town got too annoyed.
Damn them! Damn my pathetic fools for brothers for ruining everything yet again. Hopefully we will find someplace to spend the night once we are sure we have lost them. If we are lucky we should make running quickly found us again running running...

...be safe now, but we can't be sure. Banick found a cave by the mountain-side. I think we are nearby waterdeep. It would make sense, judging by the direction we have been travelling and how long we have been going for. This should be good. A nice small town, nothing to big for Banick to smash or for Myth to set alight. I think Myth regrets it now. Banick set fire to his clothes while he was sleeping near the entrance to the cave as I'm writing this. Myth doesn't seem happy, running out the cave screaming. Come to think of it, I should stop his screaming. If he keeps up like that then sooner or...

...again! I knew it! I was writing it as it happens! Good old Myth, running aroun with his ass on fire, rolling on the ground to put it out, that's what Mother told him last time. What does he do? Roll on a bush. A big, beeding bush. No chance those villagers won't find us now, what with the massive bonfire spreading to the nearby trees as well. My god, my brothers are fools...

...admit it for once (and just this once): I am glad to have these two as brothers, otherwise my eyes would certainly have ended up on that dumb farmer's pitchfork. I must admit though, to put the farmers eyes on it instead was not the most...tastefull...of ideas my brothers have had. I can be slightly sympathetic to Banick. I mean, he was an elf, stupid elf. But either way, I certainly am not complaining. My brothers saved my life, in exchange for ripping up two or three villagers. Myth found a box of interesting objects on the big peasant's posession. I can't be sure - they are very old - but I think they may be some old lockpicks, but they are certainly worthless: The lower half of most of them are either bend or broken, I'll keep the one the looks the newest, but I doubt it will be of...

...made it there, and the first bloody thing Banick has to say is "Lathandar? Who- oh yeah! That god person that doesn't exist. That mades no sense, following a god that doesnt exist." So we are on the run again. Yet another town that bloody hates us. Perfect. It could have been worse I guess. They could have wanted to kill us. Probably their god wouldn't aproove.
We are staying out in another inn (God help us, but it is a good hide out for now), and we should be heading off to the docks in a few days. I talked to that sailor again this evening. He said he could take us to Sundren when he returns from his next voyage (He is leaving for Sundren tomorrow morning, and will come back for our voyage if we are interested.) for a modest fee. Its not too bad, could be worse. But at least this way I will have the opportunity to...

...Banick says we have to leave him and go now. I don't know what he's picked me up as I write he is worrrr......

... I can see the docks now. They look shabby. We should make port within the hour. I wonder how Myth will cope until he gets here...

...fancy-looking wear, but Banick had other ideas. I suspected he was just trying to ignore my questions about Myth, but he suddenly got very interested in a set of militia armour. Probably not the best thing, but then again it could have it's advantages...what they are, I am yet to discover.
Me, I went for the good old fashioned bowman's outfit. I actually feel like I could be comfortable wearing this. Banick isn't as aprooving: Aparantly anything that isn't completely made of metal is just a peice of cloth. Hmph! What does he know? Exactly...

...someware called Sharahan, where we met a young lass. Banick tried his thing, but I doubt she was impressed. She seemed more interested in...

...should arrive within the hour. We are waiting by the docks for him now. If he isn't on this boat, I swear to Tempus I will kill Banick. Ahh well. At least it is Myth, he can be trusted...I hope...

...did eventually, but I have the sneaky suspicion he is still drunk, there wasn't any ale on the ship I am told. If that fool has still got some of that stupid licker, I swear he will pay. Not that I will make him pay; he will just get so drunk he will drown in his own vomit (unsuprisingly).
We should be moving soon, after Myth is able to walk again...

...got the same damn stuff as Banick! Why? Why follow Banick's stupid sense of style when you could actually have a sense of style and copy me? Why must I always be the odd one out when we do stuff? It sucks. It really really does suck.
Gah! Before I get really annoyed, at least we are moving now. We are heading back to the hills where me and Banick spent a while waiting for Myth. I wonder if...

...woman again. Once again Banick tried...and failed. Myth was a bit more sly, but what can you say? It was better than Banick. Galiana. I'll write that so I remember it. She seems like she is around here often. I am sure we will bump into her more often...

...met a hin on our travels, and an elf...stupid elf...

...I don't think they liked it. Oh well, last we will see of them...stupid elf...

...has been the toughest day for me yet. Banick and Myth managed to get themselved captured by a banite (Tempus rip them to shreds) cult leader, who had them both magically binded when I arrived with a fat, stupid orc and some other hin (didn't bother asking for his name, just told him to help), but before I had got there, apparantly some shifty charactor had cut Myth's throat while he was in the bind.
Didn't kill him, of course, just cut him, but once I got the two out of there, we all agreed we were going to hunt down and kill this man.
Banick wrote down his name on the list. Thy will be done, in the name of Tempus, his eternal guidence comfort, his perpetual knowledge strengthen us, his mighty will of the good come down and smite the wickid from this land, according to the mighty working, whereby he shall rid the vile bodies from where they once came from, and toss them into the eternal fire of punishment, to rot for eternity, for ever and ever...

...well that was the simplest reveng I have ever seen. Apparantly Banick went out and killed the fool while I was still sleeping. I think it is a sign of him maturing. They grow up so fast. If only he would be able to be a better influence on Myth. Sometimes I really w\........................................................

I should be here for the next few days, hopefully Banick and Myth can cope without me.

...I heard about some group called the red lions this morning. Apparantly Banick and Myth should have told me. We are meeting up with them tonight. Hopefully it wont be embarrasing...
            ...At least not too embarrasing...

...the worst attempt to join a faction I have ever seen! They got drunk! How could they? We will never be able to join them now. They have ruined the one chance we had of gaining some cash in their stupidity.
But perhaps I could join myself. I wasnt drunk, they noticed that. Maybe if I persuaded them to let me join myself, it might help them incorperate my brothers in the future. Time will tell. For now I...

...A woman! Another Gods-damn woman! What is Banick doing? What is wrong with him? And I mean, look at her! She wears pretty much the same as him! She is going to be a bad influence. I can tell it. She is going to drag Banick down to her own, stupid levels. Female barbarian my hide! She looks like was born in the wild! I mean, look! She's filthy...She is eyeing me as I write...stupid woman...Why the hell does Banick fall for them? He is only going to get himself into trouble (like usual of course, but still), and who is going to have to stay and pick up the peices? Me. It's always me. Never Banick. Never Myth, they go galavanting off someware, get themselves captured, or killed, or subdued by some woman, and I have to sort things out for them.

I wish mother could see this. Then she would say I didnt have to take care of them any more. She would see how much I have to deal with when they...

...It's been a day and a half now since then. Ashleigh little bitch has been sucking up to Banick again. Stupid whore...why can't he see that she is just using him? I bet that any time soon he is going to end up tied up naked to a tree, blind drunk, with all his possessions stolen and his clothes covered in urine...although that last part may be of my doing that is not the point. She is a menace! I swear that if she so much as looks at me funny...I will...

...not too bad. Spent the night under a tree. I got annoyed of Myths snoring (Balantaur licquor again) so I slept up at the top. Was alright untill I fell out...stupid bloody bird build a nest on my why don't...

...but Banick wasn't listening. I don't think the guy liked him anyway. Why he was hiding down that alleyway I may never know...Ahh well. His wares suited me more than they would Banicks or Myths. The traps looked amazing. Really did....

...Myth and Banick have gone out for the night. I have decided to take the night on a stroll around town. Been a while since I have done so.
The place is so peacefull at night, suprisingly. You would think that with such a large town there would be at least a small community out at night. But no: the sound dies with the sun, and with the moon out, all is calm.
Course, there is the occasional guard around. Why one of them "insisted to stop and search me", find I had weapons, but did not charge me because it was not an offense, bewilders me entirely. I mean, why did he search me in the first place?
Not too bad though, all the nut-heads crawl back into the woodwork in the night. Makes the place much more-------~-------------~./

...stupidly barging past me like there is no tomorrow! Here I am minding my own business and she just shoves me aside and walks through the gate. Well I'll show her...amazing! She fell for it for sure! Now she thinks I'm some sort of assassin! What an idiot!....then again, she is an elf...

...Overheard a court-case today. Well, some of it, stupid guards (why, I am clueless) removed me from the courtroom! They said I was "being disturbing". I was telling them the elf was guilty! What is so wrong with that? He is an elf. What more is there to ask about?
Then again, that guy did say he followed Tempus, he deserves to burn in the hells as well, but still. the elf witness deserved to die. I don't care what his crimes were, if there were any. He was guilty, plain and simple...

...I might have gone a little over the top placing the notice on top of the temple, but I am sure they read it, it was gone when I looked this morning.
I might go spend a night or two at that dice-den I have heard about. Sounded like quite a place, heard that Stephano guy I read on some notice is here also...note to self, they have a dancing elf, to prevent injury to eyes refrain from watching...not that I would want to...

...in hells is wrong with that place? He attacked me! and the guard just go "Oh dun' wate ma' time uh on noez I dunnae wha' 'im doin!"
This place is a nightmare...Gods! And whoever in the nine hells Stephano is, he certainly didn't like me. What on earth was wrong with him?
                So this is justice...

                ...swear I heard that someware...
