Entry #81:
I have nearly perfected my Soul Net. Its uses are wide and interesting. Several aspects have arisen that I had not expected or intended. Previously I made note of being able to detect departed spirits. After study, I have discovered that by linking the Weave of the net to my own senses, I can commune with those souls long departed. I have learned interesting things. Many souls, especially those lost to battle, but still trapped on this plane, seek a purpose to occupy their endless stay. Specifically...they seek to serve.
I now have a secondary sort of study to do. My hand is trained in the crafting of blades. I wonder if a soul can be anchored and bound to such a blade and then bound to a compatable wielder, granting the knowledge of the fallen to aid the living. The theory is sound, but beyond my own magic. I will be forced to start much smaller, and in strange ways to test the usefulness and limits of such a method.
I wonder what the Kelemvorites might think of such a thing...the dead bound and serving the living....
