  • Delvin Dalvin

For one I'm glad I didn't go with my original character choice of a tiefling bard.
And although I have Valen he's standing around lately doing nothing.
So Here's Delvin. Probably one of the hardest ever characters to do anything but RP.

    Name: Delvin Dalvin
    Race: Deep Gnome
Class: Wizard (eventual Pale Master, should it fancy him)
    Alignment: Neutral

Althogh Delvin was born in the underdark, like most of his kind, he was not raised there. In fact his parents were part of a spelljamming crew. Being magically inclined, his mother and father were perfect to help drive the ship through the crystal spheres.
His childhood was spent in study. Being stuck on a ship for most of one's life kept him to himself, and with a Gnome's life span that led to him only caring about aquiring more knowledge and information.

Delvin is actually quite skilled in the use of black powder pistols, and was preparing to take his place as the casrer of another spelljammer ship when tradgedy struck.
His parents ship, had landed off the coast of Faerun and headed to a small port for 're-suplies', under the typical guise of being a normal sea-faring ship.
Unfortunetly a raid by pirates eneded hsi space-faring life. While he was aquiring some goods, his ship took off in the ensuiing fighting. Delvin reasoned that it made sense. The ship couldn't fall in the hands of these primitives, aaand so he was left 'marooned'.
using his inate Deep Gnome magics he his from the pirates and slipt out of the port, wondering the roads.

As of now his own goal is to find another spelljammer ship to power, or saving that, find black powder from one. As it's not a substance found on this world normaly, if he can get another sample, he could use his alchemical skills to produce it and bring black powder weapons back to Toril once again...before the great magical purging that had happened once before.

Delvin doesn't care one way or the other about people. "Knowledge is power" is his own creed. As a wizard, spells, lore and items of magical natures interest him greatly, much above coin. But his prize is still to once again handle a brace of pistols or spelljam.
He's not a killer but nor a nice bloke. He simply is focused like a druid in his pursuits. Evil and good acts don't mean anything to him. The end justifies the means, whether it was helping or not helping someone else.

Lately he's also come to learn about necromancy on this world. The thought of it intrigues him. Again not for good or evil acts, but simply for helping him in his quest for more knowledge. What better way then to be immortal of sorts?
There's a thin line between the definition of genius and insanity; I cross it all the time.
