  • Parn Thistleknot

Parn is a wanderer, procurer, collector and generally all around likable (some say annoying) fellow. Founder of the Midget Medic Corps (current number of members one), Parn always seem to find himself helping wayward adventureres out of tight squeezes. It has been said that the gods themselves speak to him and tell him of people in distress, either that or its his short attention span and he wanders off and stumbles over them. Parn has never met a person he didn't like and if ever you're in need just call for the Midget Medics and he'll be there, unless he's sleeping or otherwise pre-occupied most likely by something shinny.

Parn has a tendancy to get bored easily and there was a saying about idle hands and work or something. Parn seems to have an ability to always have what you're looking for, even if it 'accidentally' found its way from your pack to his. Not one to be corrupted by greed Parn's talents in procurement are never of a malicious intent, more of an uncontrolable curiosity.

This was an old PnP char of mine that I just can't seem to get away from. Parn is a halfling, originally Kender. Just to put aside people's fears anything that may be taken during RP is always kept so the players can get it back. Kinda goes with being a happy go lucky klepto.

These kinds of characters are always fun to interact with.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Reminds me alot of Tasslehoff Burrfoot from the dragonlance series. Definitely a fun and interesting character to watch.

If I ever make a character to play with, count me as a second member of the Midget Medic...*chuckles*

        Rogue Player:
Ok, I'll tell you what. I'll give you one gold for every door you open here in Undermountain.

Fighter Player: Hmmm..you got yourself a deal

        DM: *grins*

        *Actual happening in PnP D&D*

Parn is a great fellow. I want to know more about that spoon though. I rely on my nose.

Parns spoon (actually happened in PNP):

It started with just a regular spoon, but playing a kender nobody ever listened what I had to say, even though I was always the point man. Well we were completly lost at one point and about half a pack of smokes and lots of arguing from the other characters I pulled out a spoon and started following it. Well for some reason with that character I was always extremely lucky when i had to make random rolls so every time we came to an intersection I had to roll to see which way the spoon pointed and I got everybody out. For about a year of just getting lucky on rolls I had everybody convinced it was magical so well that eventually the DM gave it direction finding powers. I never expected to actually see a spoon as a drop when I created Parn for the server.

I (Caleb Norte) was happy to help Parn get his spoon back, it was a great rp experience.

It was interesting hearing about a spoon being lost. And confusing. Be we'll overlook that part. Neat character, nonetheless.
