Well you all have very impressive biographies! I hope I can live up to the rest of them. Here's the description for Saulus. I came up with the concept of him a long while ago and it was always my hope to get him in some plots with you guys (especially at higher levels) on a DM level.
Race: Human
Alignment: You?ll have to find out?
Class: Fighter/Weaponmaster (Former Thayan Knight?still retains abilities)
Saulus was born in the Capitol city of Thay, Eltabbar. He was born of Mulhorandi blood which had many benefits being an upper class of Thay. Though he showed no aptitude for the arcane arts, his skills were found in training to be a Thayan Knight, the vigilant and brutal protectors of the Red Wizards. His swordmanship was exceptional as he went on to protect some of the most powerful wizards to grace Toril.
As most Thayan Knights, Saulus was subservant to the Red Wizard he protected, and underwent magical conditioning to be that way. Because of this, Saulus became far more strong willed and ruthless. Thay?s imperfect system of law would change everything, as Saulus was ordered to assassinate a Zulkir of Thay. Saulus? loyalty was with Thay, and the strength of Thay as a whole. Although Red Wizards warred, there was an unspoken set of rules that kept them strong enough and unified to still fight the rest of Faerun and not fall from within. Saulus? Red Wizard severely threatened to disrupt this balance, which is the reason Saulus approached the Zulkir to prevent the assassination. Although Saulus? actions were beneficial to Thay, he violated the will of his Red Wizard. Such an act could only result in execution. Instead of execution, the Zulkirs proclaimed because of Saulus? nobility and serving of Thay, he shall only face exile.
Few are sure where Saulus travelled and his encounters, but from what the common-folk know is he has only come to Sundren recently. He keeps much to himself and is largely neutral in his demeanour until his duties cause him to assume the role of the Harbinger of Wrath. Those who do know of Saulus? previous status as a Thayan Knight are common, as it has long been considered age-old gossip. Those who understand the reputation of the Thayan Knights are uneasy as they may have had previous encounters with a Red Wizard. It is also said Saulus has several family members in Sundren with similar talents. Saulus is frequently seen near the Red Blades Guild Halls in Sundren, even being a high ranking member himself, a prominent Red Blade having dealings with the leader, Vaer.
