"Revenge is sweetest when it is sharpened with irony..."

    General

    Name: Selene Ralathi
    Race: Moon Elf
    Alignment: Lawful Evil
    Class: Warlock
    Deity: Hoar
    Age: 76

    Background:
Hailing from a small tree-top village on the outskirts of Trollbark Forest (along the Trade Way and just north of Baldur's Gate), Selene's early life was pretty unremarkable. Spending days at a time in the surrounding woods searching for flora and fauna to experiment upon was the norm. She developed a talent for alchemy, and would have made an excelent apothocary, until the Helmites arrived in her sleepy village.

Because of her village's close proximity to an ancient demon summoning site known as the Warlock's Crypt, the Helmites believed the inhabitants of the village to be nothing more than devil worshipers and cultists of Bane. They disguised themselves as traders, wary from their travels and seeking refuge on their way to Waterdeep. Their true goal was only to poison the town's water supply. Because of her constant dabbling with poisons and remedy's in her youth, Selene developed a resistance to the toxins in the water. She watched in horror as those around her whiteher and die a slow, agonizing death.

She wandered the forest for 2 years in a bewildered daze, living off of what she could scavage---until she found the ancient ruins at the base of the Troll Hills, the Warlock's Crypt. Inside, she found a means to seek her revenge--she found ancient texts used to summon the Devil Lords themselves. She studied, and prayed to Hoar, the God of Retribution, to give her the strength to continue. Time after time she failed, until finally, she was able to call upon Belial, the Lord of the Fourth. Belial has always had a penchant for beautiful, young females, and could not resist giving the poor girl what she asked--the might to extract her revenge.

As Selene stands upon the deck of The Verdant Clam, gazing upon the port city of Avanthyr, she glances upon a tattered piece of parchment, with a single word written in human blood--Sundren. It was her only lead to find the names of the clerics who poisoned her wells so long ago. The men, that she would have to kill....

    Personality:
Selene is fighting a loosing battle within herself. The stronger she becomes, the more her demonic influence takes hold and warps her soul. She did not originally consider herself evil, and truly believed her quest was one of righteousness--to extract retribution for the senseless murder of an entire village. However, her quest for revenge is causing her to lose sight of this and slowly slip into a darkness that she cannot escape.

She prefers to avoid most physical conflicts and sticks to subterfuge and her natural charms to get what she wants. Because of her young age, however, she lacks a certain wisdom that most older, more wordly elves have, and makes rash decisions quite frequently. But that does not mean she is unintelligent--infact quite the opposite is true. She taught herself with the ancient tomes found in her descrated village, along with the ruins of the Warlock's Crypt. She is crafty and tatical, and plans out every step she will take beforehand in extracting her revenge.

Selene prefers that there is law in the land, and tends to upholds it to a tee--mostly to keep attention away from herself while she weeds out the names of the Clerics she is silently hunting. She feels that the best way to find a fitting justice, one must uphold the spirit of the law, not the letter of the law.

She is cold, and does not truly care for one unless she can somehow use them to her advantage.
"The Weave is the source of all magic in Faerun, and I would give my life to protect it!"
    Selene Canadiel--Knight of the Weave
"I have failed you once....I will not fail you again!"
    Sylvanas Kathar--Thayan Knight

    *rubbing hands together*

All we would need is a Neutral Evil Warlock and we can proceed to build the Tribunal and initiate our dark machinations within the confines of Sundren!!! That is... if we can keep from backstabbing, betraying, or otherwise harming each other... but thats the fun of the game now isn't it?

"Dreams... such fertile ground for the seeds of torment. I can sense your ripeness and, oddly enough, it is time for the harvest. Please, save your tears... I intend to reap your sorrow slowly and have ages to discover the things that make you suffer... I am eager to revel in the sweet melody of your screams and the melancholy of your despair..."
